Suggestion: Add Horten Ho 229 to German aviation tech tree

Both the Nakajima Kikka and Ho 229 are only prototypes and never saw real‑world WWII combat. Are you going to submit a suggestion to remove the Nakajima Kikka then?

I will absolutely sign a petition to remove ALL prototypes, indeed.

Well then, good luck with that

yea honestly at this point the content that enlisted could get is a bunch of low br stuff or prototype since most thing are too redundant or too OP.

Or recon vehicle but that is low br stuff anyway.

That why I thought the warthunder way would be perfect but i get it.

I understand your point. It has to be admitted that prototype and paper‑only aircraft can indeed bring more playable content to Enlisted. The Luftwaffe urgently needs a maneuverable prototype aircraft to counter Allied air forces in both air‑to‑air combat and multi‑role capabilities.

Your math leaves something to be desired

If you think a fighter aircraft’s bomb loadout is all that matters about it, then I have nothing more to say

I see you aren’t really looking at the details—have you ever stopped to consider that a 30mm cannon is more powerful than a 12.7mm or 20mm one?

Yeah a 30mm is more powerful, but you’re completely ignoring the fact that there are only 100 rounds total, 50 each for the two cannons. With that small of an ammunition load, it’s incredibly common to run out of ammunition in the middle of fights, while it’s competitors have zero issue with ammo while still being deadly. And because of that, the Kikka gets the 800kg bomb to balance it out.

If the Horten Ho 229 is added to the game, it will greatly improve the German air force’s dog‑fighting capabilities.

I think you’re wrong. Look at this documentary footage taken during the assault on General Totten Kopf’s fortress in 1946.

I didn’t find it myself; here’s the source link. Trev Clark's Obscure Aviation History 🚁 on X: "A high-altitude Luftwaffe pressure suit, designed for the pilots of the proposed Horten Ho 229 'flying wing' jet interceptor. Neither the aircraft nor the suit were flown operationally before the end of World War Two." / X I left a link in my topic

Well, you found this post and shared it with us. I guess you deserve a mention too :dromedary_camel:

There was indeed such an interesting flight suit in history

Neither the Me 262 nor any of Germany’s currently‑available aircraft can easily beat the Meteor or the F‑80, and those two have an extremely large player base as well :crying_cat_face:

In aerial combat, the MK 108 demands a substantial lead angle to hit maneuvering opponents. The Me 262, hampered by poor maneuver performance, often cannot achieve the proper lead and loses vital firing windows.

German planes can’t beat meteors at all.:face_exhaling:

You’re wrong. The bf109z EASILY takes out the meteor. You just have to catch it coming head on, or tail it until they turn. One round literally destroys the entire plane and the 109z has perfect cannon spacing. The me262 can also do this as well, if you can’t land one round while they’re turning or 1 round head on, you need some more practice is all. The f80 is nothing special in flying characteristics. Most br5 props can take it out.

Bf 109z

Enough said. If you don’t have it, learn to intercept with the me 262. It only takes one single round to destroy the meteor or at the very least make it un-maneuverable.
