For the realistic game, we need a wepon, class limit.
No one wants to aginst with full of snipers, or full armed with automatic rifles.
Limit the number of class and allow people to choose the desired class on a first-come, first-served basis.
Aircraft should be start at airfield.
And bomb supply is only able at airfield.
And add a one or two AI plane and let them do CAS with player and escort the bomber.
But if you want to play plane, you have to pay something. Ex, team resource, or personal resource like warthunder.
Tank class also.
But the first spawn will be free.
Add binoculars.
Delete tracer bullet that used at infantry wepons.
it would be too much work for the developers, who have already praised the addition of friendly fire on lone wolf as a great job
however about your idea it has already been used in many realistic fps (RO2, RS2, POST SCRIPTUM / HELL IT LOOSE, SQUAD etc …) and it has always been well received we just have to see if the developers in the long run will emulate this or do something else
Sure, I’m all in about bigger maps, some of them definetely would profit from better cap zones placement so we could utilize all of them instead of just one piece (Manor in Moscow is a great example for that - it has some terrain all around, but fighting only happens in the buildings in the center)
Just wanted to correct you that reworked LF will not get any new bigger maps, but only biggest present now.
Thing with lonefighters is, that current invasion maps are pain to play because they are simply too big in comparison to a very few people attacking/defending.
Best example of lone fighters awkwardness is D-day. (storming D-day beach with 20 people against half-empty bunkers… not very immersive)
In news section, Keofox already mentioned that lone fighters will see more big maps. I find it extremely disappointing, because the only modes that works well for lone fighters is small conquest + some assaults.
Bigger map prefference on the other hand, is desperately needed in squads that turned into meatgrinder.
Current invasion maps require far more than 20 players to be somewhat solid. That is however a limitation not only for the consumers on hardware side, but also for the servers on theirs. I can´t imagine wide maps working with 20v20 or so if even current maps that are considered “big” are failure for lone fighters.
First there should be enough players to fill 25v25 to even think about making that number higher. And as more and more threads complaining about bots in LF show - there are not enough players.
Remove tracer rounds from other than machine guns (including tanks and planes), sure. Also remove kill cam. Planes having to land to resupply would be a good thing.
Lone fighters will be completely uninteresting to me at least until it becomes 50v50 and has squads of players with voip (add some bot squads in equal numbers on both teams if player numbers are hard to fill).
