General Motivation Attacking / Defending
I think you could give players more motivation to earn points when defending or attacking in the zone.
In many games, I find that most players don’t even get to the defense point and still get a lot of points (Call of Duty playstyle).
I have experimented with this several times and found that on D-Day, for example, I get much fewer points when I defend the bunker.
Also that players don’t mark opponents is sometimes very frustrating. Maybe you could give extra points if someone marks enemies and they are then killed by another player within a certain radius (as an assist).
Somehow I miss the teamplay with other players in Enlisted. It would be great if you would give more incentive for teamplay.
Squad Controls & Tactics
Currently the AI is too inflexible or does what it wants.
Shooting:
For example, if you want to run around the enemy, the AI shoots out of the bushes even at 150 meters away when you run and betrays your position.
Solution: You can give a command that the squad does not shoot at all / only shoots when a squad member is injured (return fire) / shoots at everything.
Command run & hold position:
This currently only works when no enemies are visible. It frustrates every time you command the squad to follow and they stop every two meters to shoot at the enemy and then everyone dies.
Solution: In combination with the tactic to shoot, the squad should follow the orders. Setting about “Attack All” / "Defend Zone
Hold current position:
When I command my squad to hold position, it still doesn’t do it. This is very frustrating especially in houses when you want to defend a spot and go to the second floor.
I often build sandbags at the top of the stairs as an engineer to block the way up and give my squad the order to hold position at the top level in the house. The AI still jumps down into the house or even runs outside and then everyone dies again. I then always have to switch all squad members individually and run upstairs one by one.
Solution: In combination with shooting orders the squad holds the position if you command them, to be defensive.
