I think the main reason was the 75mm HE. Of course, I’m just trying to read their minds, except I’ve always had different ideas of balance myself.
thats my point really, having played with Stummel, I ended up, like most players use it as a HE slinger which APCs shouldnt be.
In my opinion Stummel should have its HE shells removed/replaced with smoke shells so its just an APC, same goes for SU-57.
And consider that this APC has no MG and is no good against infantry.
Yeah, let’s go even harder.
And give its MG blanks as well. To make it on par with TT APCs.
yeah. I mean they are pretty much just tank destroyers
Well, this and the SDKFZ 251 9 and similar things were rarely used as APCs. But considering we already have the SDKFZ 251 9 as an APC and the idea is very fun in Enlisted, I would like to see more of it.
there are many options for interesting APCs without adding HE slingers.
Sdkfz 251/9 aka Stummel was a huge mistake since its used a tank rather than an APC.
Just as adding Universal Carrier as an APC was a huge mistake as well.
The event APCs were good examples for what APCs shouldnt be like. Look at them as tests.
Unhinged opinion. And I’m so glad that this opinion was not held by the “devs”. It would be huge mistake
Universal Carrier is a clown car and can barely fit 5 soldiers…
Stummel had a crew of 5 but I suppose you can squeeze in 2 or 3 more people so a squad jumping out of that is not unrealistic but it was not used for troop carrying, rather as a IFV.
debunk my statements instead of criticizing facts with opinion.
And one question. Would you be happy if they changed the SDKFZ 251 9 to a BR1-2 tank?
not ideal, but its much preferable.
removing all HE shells would also do IMO since its 52mm pen is useless in BR3 so it would be only used as an APC (thus this change would be less toxic to players that already own it).
btw: stummel was only added because devs ported it straight out of WT, not because it was such a great idea to begin with.
I fail to see how is that revelant for the game’s needs. Every APC in the game has totally unrealistic capacity. Yet somehow it’s problem with only these two.
This is total BS, a deliberate lie. All vehicles were used for troop transportation to some extent.
So you want to make everything useless?
useless?
How is a mobile rally point useless?
thats the only job an APC should have to function as mobile rally point, but instead you want a tank that takes up an APC slot.
Well, its main purpose is lost. What’s the point of putting a cannon in there when it can’t deal with tanks or infantry? And it’s only going to get worse than that premium team, they have 6 specialists, and a MG with decent vision, while you’re stuck with two medics.
all vehicles are used for carrying something, not necessarily soldiers, there were numerous ammo carrier vehicles, armoured recovery vehicles, fuel trucks ect…
stummel had a crew of 5 (but only has 4 in game) and could probably fit a 6th personnel as well if devs werent lazy…
Stop twisting the reality.
The Stummel has a much slower reload time than its tank counterparts with “same” cannon, the crew doesn’t have a tank related perks, using its cannon is extremely situational because you just don’t want to draw attention to it.
It doesn’t even come close to being comparable to tanks. And not even if it had stayed on BR2.
You are just against anything that’s unique. And everything needs to be just 1:1 with its dedicated role.
I took the trouble to find that event page. I laughed out loud when I compared his(or her?) messages on that page and in this suggestion. The double standards on this forum are so funny.
Comrade Commissar doing background research for finding some dirt on someone, how accurate XD.
clearly not the case since that event was a year or more ago while I have been on the opinion that APCs and rider class vehicles shouldnt have a cannon larger than 20mm since mid 2024.
Just take a look at my APC suggestion from about a month ago, I wanted suggest many different unique vehicles without the ability to spam HE, but most ended up being cut out, you can see them in the sneak peek of cut ideas.
