Fair enough but maybe it could be balanced by giving stuh 42 faster reload
or just give it heat. It has same reload as 105, no mg, and 36 rounds. make it half and half. you can either implement the heat with 105mm of pen or the one with 115mm of pen
Just one question… Are you that stupid or are you just trolling?
That sure aint a Stuh but an entire diffrent tank you are calling OP armored…
On the same vain armor on the Sherman 105 op as clearly seen in the picture

Clearly the 105 is OP /s
I think he knows already
Doesnt change the fact that he is a moron that calls something OP in his so “credible” expert opinion when he cant even get the vehicle right that he is talking about despite already having the proper name and pictures presented to him.
Not sure which scenario is damaging his credibility even more if its is eighter
1.he is just that careless that it was an honest mistake (but like how low do you have to be for that?)
But how can I trust his opion on any other of his post when he is that level of sloppy.
or
2. He always knew and deliberately lied the entire time to eighter to troll and ragebait or to push through his own twisted agenda.
Both cases are pretty concerning and should not be just brushed off that easiely.
aye, fair, also considering he hasn’t changed his vote yet…
Given that the 3N HEAT already has 115mm of pen already I would say that the 105 HEAT with a WAY longer reload time really should by no means be any worse than that.
Especially since HEAT does not really get more powerfull with diameter since the jet stays more or less the same.
You clearly didn’t read all the previous messages or else you would understand i only had the provided stat page showing 80mm of frontal armor, which the iv/70 also has. That’s why i compared the two because it was the closest thing in game for me to check. I don’t have warthunder to go see armor values on it. It was a legitimate concern without being given more details. Yuibiki finally posted the plate values which put it to rest. It was as simple as that. Next time proper depictions should be given so people who aren’t familiar with things can have a better idea of it’s performance.
I actually didn’t know this. Figured a 105mm heat round would put out way more fragmentation/bigger jet of liquid metal compared to a 75mm one because more surface area is being hit
About real world topics…?
I mean, not denying it’s possible, I just have my preffered source already when it comes to tank lore.
Euthy is really more of a authority on stuff in the game.
I really want to see something interesting at BR3 for Germany - Panzer IV is frustrating to play with because of its non existing turret armor combined with massive post pen damage of most its rivals.
TT Stugs or STUH with 80mm of flat armor are definitely an upgrade in survivability.
STUH 42 with HEAT and HE would probably even have the fire power to rival Panzer III N fire support while being comparable to Panzer IV H anti tank power - depending on reload speed of course.
How much pen does STUH HEAT have? Might be too good.
Depending on which one it gets, preferably the latter, either 105mm or 115mms of penetration.
Thats not all that much actually, BR3 Panzer III N heat is also 100+ pen, that would leave Panzer IV H with its 140 pen still to be the better anti tank vehicle (unless its post pen damage doesn’t get fixed)
Technically it can get more powerful with size of the shell however it also depends on how much TNT filler is in it. Take the Panzer IV F1 for example, its shell has a diameter of 75 mm and 876 g of TNT filler, while the 15cm sIG has a shell diameter of 15 cm and 5.3 kg of TNT filler. All that extra TNT filler allows the HEAT shell to over pressure targets.
What does it matter if that’s how it is in real world? We’re talking about a game that doesn’t accurately depict things. He’s knowledgeable with the game and can probably answer the question if enlisted/warthunder is modeled to have 105mm heat rounds doing more than 75mm heat rounds. Pretty simple. Don’t really need to go research it when it’s already in warthunder to begin with
Why not an Italian tank then? I’m sure dude would nut his pants over it (the one NOT named after a german vehicle BUT an italian one)
Because vehicles, their guns, and their shells are modeled after reality…?
Do you not know this…?
Of course not… What was I thinking.
