Using AI art hurts actual artists, and we all know that the devs have the money to pay for actual portraits for the game.
All using AI art does is tell the playerbase that the game is on a steady decline and that the devs have stopped caring.

The most they do is “improve” the actual period photos (for the most part) considering the portraits at least.
