Still downloading the game, initial thoughts before playing

I can only put up with War Thunder’s lack of immersion for so long, even SB now both prevents events like straight up China VS Japan, and of course RB is always mixed. I do really like that this game is all about immersive setups with proper weapons on both sides, I very much miss the War Thunder events.

I don’t care too much about balance, but I hope the experience isn’t outright miserable for free players, especially those that don’t plan on spending a huge amount of time on this game. I already have Heroes and Generals (already have a general), so I will probably just go back to that if it feels too much like I am just the cannon fodder for my first 24-100-ish hours of gameplay. But I really don’t mind being the underdog, just as long as you can be useful, is that the case?

The other thing is I am really looking forward to tanks and planes. It looks like neither is locked behind a paywall, is that correct? That’s definitely a plus.

Just finished the tutorial. A bit disappointed by some of the AB aspects from War Thunder, but willing to give it a try if I can connect to the servers and do more than just the tutorials.

Rough time to join. The servers are totally fucked right now. I can’t even log in to the game right now

Once you upgrade your squads to have more than the bare minimum of men you’ll be set.

Run for the hills called hell let loose

Abandon all hope ye who enters through these gates.

Why are you still here then?

Had few irl friends that did join the game and I did refuse to play with them for now so they can see what’s the game is about by themselfs, they played alone so far and had amazing experiences in the game to a point 1 of them bought premium.

We can’t like the same shit, but if you are here, what’s the point in stating others to play another game?

Op, the game is alright, servers had and still have some problems during this week. Both here and some stated in wt too.

Game is slow to progress if you are average by xp counts per min. If you are a good fps player with litle knowledge the game progresses faster. So you really need to put effort and do lots of actions, kills, and be on point and or play vehicles and shred inf to level up faster. If you come and play the game on a slow pace, grind will be hard.
My advice is to compleatly disregard your deaths and press w. Be agreesive and disregard the times you die or the number of squads you use. The more actions you do, the more xp you get, the more squads you use, the faster they progress.
There are some vehicles exclusive to premium packs. Most are skinned versions with added armor, diferent cammo or compleatly unique vehicles with better stats on some parts and worst on others.

You don’t need them to progress now, now what you need is a good feel of the game, if you trully like it or not first. Disregard the grind for now, avoid spending much silver and bronze orders upgrading everything you see. You will need them for better items latter on.

If you trully get to a point that you will consider playing this more and more, premium time is a must, and or, Atleast batlepass once, (it pays back the investment to buy it season after season).

I also did play hng since alpha for Alot of years daily. I had hundreds of ats, generals and Prety much everything, and I still consider this faster to progress. As long and you remember you have a w key on your keybord.

For the most part, game is almost historical accurate, (there are some squads vehicles or weapons that aren’t, but one could argue that they are here to fill the game with more content or to make the faction more interesting to be played or balance it for future content to counter), and it’s arcade enough to feel fun and not a boring running simulator that you need to ask permition to make a move like hell let loose, and it’s realistic enough to have a feel you are in a ww2 batle. So yeah, a good game on my books.

Hope Atleast you have fun and give it a proper try. You won’t regret it.

Countless guides, videos and content was made by the community over the time, some of it is outdated since the game is updated at a faster rate, and some community made wikipedias aren’t updated or used that much, so anything you need, ask. Even if it’s trivial for us now, there’s Alot of info for a new player, and you could avoid mistakes or save some silver and bronze orders by taking some of our advice.

Anything, ask. And have fun.

Oh also, to point a fact. There are countless discord groups, clans, twitch content creator community discords, friends and people you can add to play with
As long as you ain’t toxic, and cool to play with your skill is irrelevant. people are more than happy to squad and play together. It makes the game 9319.97 times better to play, and you gonna learn Alot and make friends doing so. Do it, find people to join you.it will only help you.

Hell Let Loose sucks ass. I played for all of 30 minutes getting sniped in the middle of the night from hundreds of meters away. Shitty enough first experience to tell that game to fuck off and get a refund.

-Wait in spawn menu, run 300 meters, die, repeat
-Have people in voice chat playing it like its a second job and the house is on stake.
-get sniped by someone you can’t even see
-animations fked up, can’t even jump a 30cm fence.

10/10game.

Atleast I can have action on enlisted, relax, and I dont loose a single braincell playing it. Atleast after a match I wanna play another, not uninstall it or altf4 in the mid of it

Literally pre ordered hll back then, I haven’t put more than 5 min per match and or more than 2h of play time and it’s by far my worst regret in my life, buying it

Glad I didn’t stick around to try to grind through the pain. At least the Gaijin grind I know what pain I’m in for

Eh, enlisted for sure it’s a grindy game. Did take around 200 batles to compleat a campaign level 37. That’s around 4 days game time. According to some of my stats.

That ofc with premium, so would probably be 400 matches or 8 game days for f2p getting the xp I do per match.

Or, 1000 batles for a average player or, countless days of game time.

Gets old fast if wasn’t a fun game to play. But the game only got better after completing the campaigns. One can disregard the xp and fun around. I wished all campaigns were like Stalingrad

The game is fun and frustrating. I just maxed both sides for Normandy last week. Now I don’t feel the motivation to suffer spaded teams in a new campaign.

Enlisted is more fun than it should be for me.
The first little bit that you play is going to just be learning , so don’t worry about winning or losing. You will be cannon fodder for a little bit until you start getting the grasp of the game.

Most important thing I try and teach early on is once you get an engineer squad, go to the practice range and learn how to use their build menu. The most important thing to build is a rally point. It will allow you to spawn in much closer to an objective than your organic spawns which makes a ton of difference.

Beyond that try and get the ebb and flow of the battles and support from the flanks where possible. Beyond that ,.come here and ask for help where needed.

There are always jaded people no matter the game or title, but most people on here like @Shiivex and @Conscript_Joe @VoyoMayPL @gastanofrizzi @Rickyd123 @40946585 @46834552 are good people (I know I missed a few sorry if I did) who will help where needed.

wait why are you putting me under good?

You don’t want to be on the good person list?

I want to be on the good person list!

i am confused on why you put me there in the first place

Thanks for the advice, as for deaths not a problem my first game, I was really surprised I did so well! Took out a tank on Tunisia, 78 kills, 2 of them tank kills, 0 deaths. That was fun but dang, that’s some incredible infantry support! I’ve never once experienced infantry support like that in H&G (I’ve had H&G infantry support that was decent, but never amazing! Frankly, they made it relatively easy even when I overextended a few times here. Had to turn around and get ammo the kills were rolling in so fast, I actually ran out of ammo for my MGs and was just using HE for a bit.

Second game went well, albeit not quite as well
