Many are crying due “oh no engies can’t use assault rifles anymore”, well I have a simple solution: have the engineer squads behave like the Berlin tankers: you can NOT use assault rifles, but you can equip submachine guns, less damage perhaps but in exchange the particularity is maintained even if it is nerfed, simply but it would allow they keep this particularity
No one would utilize it over automatic rifles at high tier. I didn’t even want to use StG engineers for particularly “meta” reasons, I just wanted somewhere I would keep using StGs in my lineup in a unique way. The way things are going now I’ll have a dozen max level StGs gathering dust.
