Is there any plans to increase the distance your squad members leash back to your player controlled character after telling them to hold a certain area. I believe the distance is too short and it results in frustrating gameplay in which your squad gets mowed down because they’re on the move back to you.
it is to prevent “bot holding” when you place bot in some hidden place and use them not as a squadmate but as extra life.
Here’s tips: you can make bot “defend/attack point” which cause them to go to CP and holding there. With that, you can just go around everywhere on the map and the bot will stay in CP.
I have been playing for a bit now and didn’t know that was a feature to make them stay.
Yea, I have done this myself. Haven’t tried it on something like a rallypoint, but I can confirm it does work. It’s the only long distance command that seems to hold them in place, other than an attack command.
Use the " formations " feature in the squad comands radial menu, wide for open spaces or heavy fire from the enemy and close for CQB, helps a lot on the bot survivalbility
