Not much to explain, really. It could work similarly to how camo patterns are handled now, but applied to squads.
Currently, we can select a few squads that will fight on every map available for the faction we are playing. This acts as a “default” deck.
The idea is to allow players to set different squad decks for each campaign or map. If no specific deck is set, the game would use the default one, just like camo patterns do now.
For example, for Germany we could have a BR2 Volkssturm squad deck for Berlin maps, BR1 Italian squads for Tunisia, and a default BR3 for all other maps.
For the US, we could create a Marines deck for Pacific maps, use the French guerrillas only in Normandy, and so on… Or just use the squads you like in the maps you want.
Each deck could have its own BR.
I know this wouldn’t make a big difference for many players. It’s mostly a way to improve historical accuracy and immersion, but it could also be useful for players who want to play a specific BR on specific maps.
Would you like to see something like this added to the game?
