**Squad Creator – Full Customization of Player‑Made Squads**

Squad Creator – Full Customization of Player‑Made Squads

I propose adding a Squad Creator that allows players to build their own units using only the equipment they have unlocked or purchased in Enlisted.

1. Unit Selection

Selection of the faction:

  • USA (includes United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Commonwealth)
  • Axis (Germany + Italy)
  • USSR
  • Japan

The chosen faction determines:

  • available weapons
  • uniforms
  • historical units
  • compatible vehicles

2. Class Selection

  • Paratroopers
  • Assault
  • Riflemen
  • Machine Gunners
  • Medics
  • Radiomen
  • Snipers
  • Engineers
  • Anti‑Tank Gunners

The Squad Creator then proposes a list of historical units based on the faction and the selected class.

3. Available Weapons

Players can equip their soldiers with:

  • all weapons unlocked in their tech tree
  • all premium weapons they own

Weapons not unlocked do not appear — progression is respected.

Exception: Paratroopers may use any weapon type.

4. Squad Organization

  • Players can choose the number of soldiers in the squad and their roles
  • Example: 4 soldiers → 1 Radioman, 2 Assault, 1 Medic

5. Appearance

  • Historical uniforms
  • Variants (summer, winter, camouflage)
  • Helmets, insignias, accessories
  • Premium skins already purchased

6. Balancing

  • Squad point cost based on equipment
  • Role‑based restrictions
  • Limitation of rare weapons if necessary

7. Practical Example

  • Faction: USA
  • Unit: 82nd Airborne
  • Class: Paratroopers
  • Squad organization: 6 soldiers → 1 Anti‑Tank, 1 Engineer, 4 Machine Gunners
  • Equipment: Entire squad uses the Colt Monitor because the player owns the corresponding premium squad
  • Appearance: M42 uniforms + M2 camo helmets

Result: a coherent, immersive squad fully aligned with the player’s progression.

Why This Is Beneficial

  • Stronger immersion
  • Creative freedom
  • Better value for premium weapons
  • More squad diversity in matches
  • Deep customization without breaking game balance

Never happen, the Dev’s would never give the players that kind of control. They would rather us have to keep buying limited premium squads with locked weapons then let us build our own to suit our taste.

Too bad, I would have tried anyway.

it already exists.

it’s called, custom profiles . json.

with ugh… many extra steps.

some mods do have custom made troopers where modders ( such as my self, or others very few examples and rare creatures that lives among the modding scene ) lay out some squads with appearance and pretty much any vehicle or weapons.

alternatively, since most people give up before even trying, there’s the editor.

where, you can’t quite create your own army, but you can kinda try stuff out and make your own soldiers at a time.

mostly for personal infos.
( and get angry by the amount of content that is within enlisted but has never been released ).

but, beside that,

not to be a buzz kill, but as i have been around since 2020,

most of these points are very disliked by the community.

cause what you refer by " stronger immersion " kinda boils down to " historical accuracy ", which it’s very different. and it’s not… all well too balance.

IE, take as an example, Moscow.
where soviets are filled with T34s, Kvs1s, smgs left and right, while the gemuts only have couple of rifles, some tds, and nothing in between.

the other issue with mainly more squad diversity, is that, squads were made for balance reasons and kinda be mirroed.

as actual nations in real life, had different doctrines and different equipment to execute said doctrines.

having a 9 men stg squad is not that fan to be against.

or, 8 ppsh41s etc.

which personally, i don’t mind.
although enlisted is pretty much history channels at 4 AM type of ordeal.
not entirely a bad thing, but not really historically accurate either ( which despite what some people claims, this game never have been. and truth be told, it doesn’t have to be )

so as far as it goes for me the ick of such immersion and experiences, i just straight up try to make them within the editor.

Customization on the other hand, fairly sure it’s limited by design.
else, not many people would really buy premium squads either.

and considering we have been going for 5 years ( almost 6 ), that will pretty much remain.

it is worth to mention that, developers did promised by never delivered the equipment selector to allow certain equipment or not in matches, but they never delivered.

so your alternative would be through modding.

learn a bit of coding, and make your own prefered historical stuff like me and others did.
people will not be able to bring their stuff, but you can make your stuff historical.

no pool, post closed, good bye

Hello your post is under Suggestions , which means you would need a poll, based on this new policy
