Squad choosing phase before each match

So that players can switch setups depending on the map, whether they are defending or attacking, or what the game mode is. Premium would still have the advantage of greater versatility but all players would be able to proactively tailor their armies to the situation at hand resulting in a more clear difference in strategy between attackers and defenders and between different maps. For example, mortars are very situational, and paras have maximum effectiveness only when attacking.

or have an offensive and defensive deck in the main menu that will activate the corresponding deck ingame.

I do believe someone mentioned the possiblity of looking into that a while back? (in one of the official threads. Read so much stuff on here I would have no idea where to look for it)

I find every class is useful no matter attacking or defending. I think the system is fine as is. We choose what classes we want to bring to battle, get dropped into the match, and play with our choices. Play to the best of your ability no matter what

But it’s still simply fact snipers are way better for defending, paratroopers are way better for attacking and so on.
Customizable squad setups would be just user friendly thing, nothing else. It’s not about “you can still play with everything” mentality.

I actually quite agree with this. At the start of the game there should be a 120 second window of time that players choose their squads.

All the actual setup must be done in the home area, but this would allow players to take squads with different setups, allowing them to adapt to map, mode, offense/defense.

I for one definitely prefer to have AT and AP mines on defense, but would prefer to have TNT for offense. This suggestion would allow for that.

Additionally, once its locked in, that player can spawn in but must stay within their teams side. This would allow for at least some quick rudimentary defenses to be set up; rally points, sandbags, etc. Though it would also allow attackers a chance to move into the angle they need to be in and tanks to be pushed up and ready to push with their infantry.

i would like this also cause it would give better versatility to f2p players, but i dont think they will implement this cause it will encroach on premium benefits.

Not really, I am premium player and it would be very comfortable for me either.
And I would still have way more option than f2p players. Especially since special for premium squad will be a thing as well.

i meant for upsell, not for premium players. one of the reasons why premium is more attractive than f2p is cause of added versatility you can get with extra 2-6 slots. if you add extra versatility to both f2p and premium there is less reason for player to choose premium.

Doesn’t really matter to me. P2W stuff shouldn’t be a thing in the first place. And slot advantage is currently the biggest p2w thing in enlisted. They should find a better and more healthier ways how to monetize their game and completely get rid off this toxic stuff.

People should put devs under pressure to remove it. But this will never. Cuz dungeaters will always continue to defend such practices.

Having the option to choose a squads preset depending on the mission type would surely be helpful.

I don’t know if it would be technically feasible tho. Shouldn’t the game, if so, preload way more items every match?

I just choose depending the campaign, for Normandy Ally I just go planes and 2 flamers + a filler/para

With 1 vehicle slot, there is not really versatility for it

not really… you already have loads of items preloaded with all different configurations 20 players can bring out. extra few % is nothing.

Possibly. Maybe it was just a helper responding…I had it in my head it may have been acknowledged by Keo or someone…
