I’m sure it’s meant to be historically accurate, but the scope on the Springfield M1903A4 (the second sniper that’s unlocked in the American Normandy Campaign) is almost completely unusable. The problem, as some have pointed out, is not just that there is a visual bug where a white bar outlines the crosshair, it’s that the lines of the crosshairs are so thin that they blend into the background of anything that you’re aiming at. Perhaps it’s a problem with the depth of field not rendering properly, or maybe it’s just a visual glitch. Either way, a possible fix would be to make the crosshair slightly thicker. I know the actual Springfield rifle has a thin crosshair, historically (or at least, that’s how it’s been portrayed in the various WWII games I’ve played), but on some maps with exceptionally dark shadows I struggle to line up the center of the crosshair with my target because I can’t see where the two lines meet.
Anyway, it’s a problem that should preferably be addressed sooner rather than later. I greatly enjoy the game, and sniping in particular, but it’s slightly jarring when a visual bug prevents me from fulfilling a basic function in the game.
