Honestly i like this Normandy campaign but for me, playing as 82nd airborne trooper storming the beach is very not in the right place for me and also there is a lot of potential battle to be added to whole Normandy campaign, i suggested to split the Normandy campaign into three stage of operation.
the first is in the landing of the beach and battle of the surrounding beach landing zone (Current built)
the second is the battle around D+1 of the landing in around Carentan, Sainte-Mère-Église, Sainte Marie-du-Mont, etc. where airborne trooper role is more prominent.
the third is around operation cobra till Falaise pocket where the German seventh army were annihilated

I agree with airborne on the beach is a little weird, but splitting the campaign down just for the sake of some units not spawning on the beach would be far too much effort than its worth.
You might have to explain it abit more?
So are you saying 3 mini campaigns or just the concept of certain units not being on certain maps?
Well to be said, Normandy campaign has a lot distinction between early campaign and late campaign (example like what unit involved in, what vehicle, what terrain etc) so i believe if Normandy campaign split into 3 different campaign it would bring more historical accuracy to the game. So if i simplified this would be like this :
-Normandy campaign : The beach landing
-Normandy campaign : Battle of Carentan and surrounding it
-Normandy campaign : Operation Cobra
I agree with Bravo, splitting it in too many campaigns would split the matchmaker too much. It would also heavily increase progression times as you need to unlock stuff for each campaign/nation.
Either of those downsides outweigh the minor historical benefit here, let alone both. Big -1 for me.
And then seeing 1st ID dressed as paratroopers for some reason
