I have the hardest time using the tanks to kill infantry as they seem to have no splash damage.I can aim in front of a group of enemy and it hits and causes no deaths until I actually hit the soldier with the shell…Is this normal???
Depends.
If it’s with a 20mm, yes. Those causes almost no explosion whatsoever.
37mm pretty much like 20mm.
With a 50mm, you need to aim directly at the guy, but there will be… some explosive radius.
75 and up, now you can start aiming at the ground and walls near the target. If hit directly, chances are the entire squad will get deleted.
88: aim comfortably near your targetS, they will all disappear.
122mm: eheh. Just shoot in the general direction of your foe and watch xp go up.
Use HE type ammo with 75mm (or more) cannon.
HE ricochet now
HE can rikochet on surface now, so you need hit flat ground, wall or hit the enemy soldier
if you shoot at ground some shrapnel gets trapped into dirt and damage is severely reduced, if you aim at wall, or at a soldier in a squad, the explosion radious and damage will be severely increased.
122 is also a fun caliber to play with, now we need 152s
Oh God yes!
Either KV2 or Isu152, but we DO need those!
We need the 80cm
Big Ol’ Gustav?
would like it more if those small caliber HE guns would deal very little AEO damage instead of having no AEO, whats the point of HE then?
Thank you all
