This would be tied to the map and not the players actions. For example if their is a trench in a map and the player is either in the trench or near the trench the AI will try to hide inside the trench. This would apply to houses, objectives, and player made structures like sandbags.

Absolutely, aside from bombing runs the fact that bots just dont want to stay in cover frustrates me more than anything.
claustrophobia should be cured and Devs are cure.
We really need this. Bots need to attempt to stay in cover where possible. Maybe by adjusting pathing calculation costs along pre-defined areas of maps to promote bots following specific paths / taking cover in specific spots, though Iām not exactly certain how the game calculates pathing.
