It’s just an idea, but it wouldn’t be bad. The Japanese are forced to always play against the Americans and the Soviets against the axis, it could be a way to make the factions more varied.

Yes, definitely. Adding maps from the invasion of the Kuril islands would be especially cool :). Also, it would give the Soviets and Japanese more variety for combat as you said and hopefully they seriously consider this as they continue to flesh out the higher BR’s for the Japanese.
