I think it would be best to replace the captured Flak with a m1940 25mm 72-k, for realism purposes.

This is alpha testing, I don’t think they got any assets for other AA ready. Also, how would it be balanced compared to a quad 20mm autocannon mount? as the quad 20’s would be much more powerful than this single 25mm

They could go with the 37mm 61-k…

Although, if we’re talking balance
Having a 71 round drum mag ppsh vs a mp40, isn’t balanced either. Yet it’s in the game

the mp40 also does 50% more damage per round and is much more controllable than the ppsh. Honestly its slow and controllable vs fast, uncontrollable, and low damage.

they just aded Czech hedgehogs today to be built as an engineer . soon the soviets will get proper AA gun.

right now they are just place holders.

That shouldn’t be the case either. If we’re comparing military loadings, 7.62 Tokarev is flat better than 9mm. It’s faster, flatter shooting, penetrates deeper, and causes more severe wound channels, all while recoiling slightly less in the bargain. The PPSh should be less controllable, but that should be all in the RoF.

Ammo load is a thing too. Give them historical loadouts, and each PPSh gets two drums for 142 rounds, vs six magazines for an MP40 for 192 rounds. Played smart, between the slower rate of fire, faster reload, and increased ammo reserve, I think that more than makes up for the PPSh’s theoretical advantage in rate of fire, magazine capacity and damage.

I mean you cant balance guns off of load cartridge IRL. Otherwise bolt actions would be useless or theyd boost the rarity of semi automatic rifles to 2 stars and youd never get them. You really have to balance guns off of how they perform in game and make sure that everything is a viable weapon without being overpowered. The stronger a weapon is the rarer that weapon should be to get.

I’d be okay with rarer semi-autos, since the Soviet and German armies didn’t mass issue them. It’s only my opinion, but I’d rather have semi-autos that hit the way they should and be few and far between, than have semi-autos that lose the entire point of being a semi-automatic rifle by doing less damage than they should.

Dunno how I’d balance the Garand when they add Americans, I’ll admit, but I’d rather the M1 was OP than the SVT-40 and G43 suck.

The Americans will probably get the M1903 bolt action rifle

I’d be mad about it, but the russians weren’t issueing the 1907 carbine in WW2, so I guess there’s a place for anachronisms already

there was also a version of this AA gun, but with two barrels
