Something about soldiers recruitment and upgrading system

Most of us had been hoping for this update for a long time, but after it finally happened, many seems quite disappointed, here I want to say something about it.

First about new recruits, this is bad. I just start Moscow, with xp boost, 5games I nearly reach lvl 8, with all 5 squad upgraded to full squad, and I gain over 40 bronze(maybe 50, I’m not sure), it was more than enough to fill up all squad. But now I need over 20 silvers to do so. How can a new player get 20 silvers, you would’t hv that even go through all 60 battle pass. This is sucks, we need new silvers gain method.

About soldiers upgrade system, that is GREAT GREAT GREAT. It used much less resources and much much much less time to do the upgrade, GJ dev.

Then the perks upgrade system, its hard to say good or not. I don’t like it at start, since I can’t do many perks draw at a time and need to keep noticing the status of every individual soldiers upgrading. But after working on my Russian soldiers, I found that new system take less XP that before to get desired perks. For example, if we want to redrawn 4 perks, at the pass we need 4×lvl4to5 XP for 4 retraining points, now, it only need 1x1-2lvl, 1×2-3lvl, 1×3-4lvl, 1x4-5lvl, we need much less XP to hv full desired perks, just a little complicated, but it seems to be a good change in my point of view.

The problem of the current perk system is that, if you want to exchange, say, a good 10-points perk for a better 14-points perk, when you soldier is 5 stars, you need to drop the current perk (which perhaps is not a bad perk) and play the soldier for several matches without it. And then, when you regain a star and can choose a new perk, not only there is no guarantee that you will get the 14-points perk you wanted, but even the previous 10-points perk might be gone. So you have t drop a star again and try again.

Instead, with old good retraining points you could always keep the old 10-points perk if the selection was not good for you, and immediately try again until you were out of retraining points, without having to wait for a long time and play many battles with an underpowered soldier.

If you are unlucky, you might have to play 100 or 200 games without your 10-points perk before you can get the 14-points perk you wanted.

Also now, without retraining points, any XP you get when your soldier has filled his current stars is completely lost.

I hope that we could get back the old retraining points, because this way upgrading soldier perks seems unfeasible to me. Now getting a 5-stars soldier is easier and simpler, but what is it for if you cannot give him the right perks?

I Agree in part of recruiting.
I play Enlisted from the start, 90% of time (or more) I played with premium account active put in game almost 1k hours already, For all this time I spend 2 or 3 of silver order troops because they looks very rare to me, well they are. Now I have only 16 silver order troops after all…
Before renew recruitment system, Game where pay to faster progress and I Liked it, now its Spend a lot of money to have soldiers with whom you can progress. Not good, for me. With 16 silver I could maybe close half om my needs for 6 basic squads for new Tunisia campaign. I count for that purposes I need to recruit - 25-30 soldiers (so silvers). How much time I need to spend to fill basic squads? 3k hour with premium? Also if we count that squads have they alternatives that you can unlock while progressing campaign, so the numbers are at least twice. 6k hours only to filling 6 squads with soldiers for 1 campaign for one side… yeah on premium.
For now I just don`t see my self anymore in this game in future.

Yea, the new system is terrible. It feels like it was driven by greed. they made rerolling perks more tedious, and prevented players from reroll points in preparation for any nerfs/buffs to perks they might do. (or just allow player to play a bunch then reroll later). It the good old ‘create a problem then sell the solution’ approach of mobile gaming.
Then we have the hilariously stupid system of relying on silver orders and how they seem resistant to changing it, reverting it or whatever. you get 10 per battle pass or 20 with elite battle pass, then like 1 every other day if you got elite battle pass. that ridiculous… How are new players suppose to manage that? I tried to simulate it. Started playing Tunisia and I’m refusing to use any of my orders that I earned in Normandy. My squads have all the weapons I could care about, but god they are small. Unlocking alternative classes or more soldier slots feels pointless because I can’t use them.
