I made some content images of shotguns, this will definitely be very interesting. They are as follows:
Japan
Murata shotgun
Soviet Union
Frolov shotgun
Sjogren shotgun (I included this because it can be set as captured from the Swedish Volunteer Corps during the Winter War, allowing it to fill the gap of the Soviet Union not having an automatic shotgun)
Germany
Geha Shotgun
Becker revolving shotgun
Walther automatic shotgun
United States
Remington 1900 Double-barrel shotgun
Stevens Model 22-410 Over/Under Combination Gun (its function is similar to the German M30, but it is double-barreled, with one barrel firing .22LR sporting rifle rounds and the other firing .410 shotgun shells)
Winchester Models 1897
Clair Brothers Semiauto Shotgun (it’s not American but French; the reason for adding it is because it belongs to America’s ally)
Lancaster 4-Barrel shotgun (it’s British, but including it under the US is also justified because of the ally reason)
The problem at the moment is that shotguns are a bit to weak. They would need some damage adjustment, otherwise they would be completely usseless, especially the bolt-action ones.
The bolt-action shotgun should have its loading speed improved (I suggest a maximum speed of 90) and its damage increased. I believe it would be really cool. Also, I hope they can add a mode for the M30 to fire rifle rounds.
And the Soviets as far I know really use Browning Auto-5 in the workers militia for example. So Browning Auto-5 is pretty good choice, kind “classic” .And in the case of the USSR, this would even be historically accurate in some sense.
K.M. Siyangulov (left), head of combat supplies for the workers’ squads of the Frunze district, and A.P. Tsvetkov, head of the weapons warehouse, check the condition of captured rifles in their warehouse. Photo taken on October 24, 1941.
In my opinion, this gun can be set to achieve continuous shooting by long pressing the mouse in the game, which would be even better! (Because I remember one of the ways this gun is used is to keep the trigger pressed and then continuously pull the bolt, which can achieve continuous shooting.)
So, fun thing, the shotguns in game don’t use anything recognizable as a real-world shotgun load. Details of that can be found in this old post I made, there’s been no change to pellet count or size AFAIK since this.
