Some buffs for the Schmeisser Mk36.III

The Schmeisser Mk36.III is a very old gold order weapon, but while it is unique, it is unfortunately the worst in general German BR1 SMG, somehow the MP 28 doing better in most every area; a noticeable 150 RPM faster, 0.8 second faster reload, and for some reason even recoil is better? (It’s an 11 pound gun the size of a Kar 98, how does that work?) . There are a few historically accurate upgrades I would like to request this gun could receive that would be very easy to do that would make it a more competitive and fun gun.

First off, I suggest to give this gun the standard SG42 bayonet used on many guns in game, since as this gun was based off of the Kar 98K rifle and retained the bayonet lug, it should be able to mount one. The image below clearly shows the mounting point on the model in game, and would be easy to make in game.

Another potential buff the gun could receive is getting a larger magazine. This gun uses the same magazines as the MP 28, and uses the normal 20 round magazines in game. This means though, that this gun is compatible with the 32 round magazines some MP28s used (Which we already have in game), and could be a nice upgrade to this gun. Here is a photo of the Schmeisser Mk.36 II, which was a near identical gun to the model III, with the MP 28’s 32 round magazine inserted, showing the compatibility of the magazine and gun.

And the last potential buff I can think of is to simply reduce the recoil a bit. It’s already fairly low, but again, it is slightly less controllable than the MP28 for some reason, despite firing slower and weighing 3 pounds more than it, so it would be logical that this would be the more controllable gun.

What buffs do you want for this gun (multi-choice)
  • Give it a bayonet
  • Increase magazine size to 32
  • Reduce recoil
  • No changes

whats the damage of the two or better yet just give us both complete stat blocks

Both the same, 6.8 damage. Putting in the entire stats for guns takes up a lot of space and a headache. If you don’t know something about a gun, consult this.

honestly thank you many people hide things to get there way, i am sorry if i cant remember the state of all XXX weapons in the game. also german players are famous for wanting to lower the br of every weapon i believe there are even people who want a tiger 2 in br4, shudders. so i waited to vote which i voted for reduced recoil and bayonet

nobody has ever seriously said that ever, and if they did say that, they’re just fucking with you to get a reaction

wdym, he did not say anything like that?

I haven’t spent any time researching the Schmeisser, however other then the slow ROF I don’t have any problems with it, other then I don’t use it because of it’s slow rate of fire. I don’t know what ROF options it has, but even increasing the ROF just a little from it’s 480 to like 520 or something would make it more useful. I use it solely as my tank backup weapon, and since I don’t play with tanks, it is unused.

I always thought it would be cool if this weapon was available to riflemen - since the ergonomics were nearly identical to the Kar.

That would be my suggestion for a buff. Its very low power level and extremely rare - so dont think it would be meta upsetting

You must not remember all the wild shit greyparrot used to spout off.

I actually love using mine in br1. It’s slow rate of fire and easy control allows me to get much more reliable kills from further distances. I’m on console, and it can be quite difficult to control the 200x recoil compared to PC.

I usually use them on guerrillas as a second primary for further distances.

I used them for a while in BR1, but found that in a close in fight with the PPD-34’s much higher ROF I was getting outgunned. It was much better used against the Allies. However, I don’t play BR1 anymore with any faction other then the Allies, so, it will just sit unused.
 I do like it, but wish it had a better ROF.

Allies br1 is no joke with all the event/bp/premmy stuff. The patchett was like the cherry on top for me. The only thing i find myself wanting there is a better br1 tank. The rhino is okay, it’s just that the 37mm SAPHE rounds are extremely unforgiving trying to kill infantry with. Doesn’t come close to the IIIJ in performance.

Germany’s br1 build is really good too, just have to have a few premium squads to fill it out, namely the new paras and the flame tank (thing feels like cheating sometimes in br1). Re 2001 CN is nice to have and Solothurn is really fun to use here as well.

I loaded up my BR1 Allies on premium, and other then maybe another assaulter or engineer squad, it is the most complete BR1 of all my factions. I have eleven slots to fill, so it is hard to fill them all.
1st AGAS Party BR1
64th Field Regiment BR1
108th Medical BR1
131st Infantry
147th Infantry BR1
502nd Parachute BR1
502nd Parachute BR1
Company A BR1

Not all my BR1 Allied squads in my lineup, but the only ones I really play with.

I don’t have the Austen Mk1 and have never shot it so I don’t know much about it. The Morroccan Squad I have, but I have an all BR 1-2 Rifle squad lineup I only use in Custom matches, since I suck with Rifles. Originally, when I bought that squad I switched to backup weapons and gave them M2 Carbines as their backup, but I have so many BR5 squads that I made all my three rifle squads BR2 using Ross rifles, along with the Moroccan and my three sniper squads which all just carry single bolt action rifles.

I also use the Ithaca as my AGAS Party backup, and I changed my M50 squad to backup weapons and use the Sten as their backup. I did this because it gave me an additional 28 rounds in ammo over using the M50 with ammo pouches.

It’s basically a Sten, but with a bit better recoil and a bit different sights, and your squad wears some cool hats. I use it all the time on my BR1 US setup and it’s pretty fun to use.

I use the Berets in every Allied squad they are available. I use tan berets in BR1 and two, and blue in BR3

Actually I did suggest this, but with a different goal in my mind.

Moving Tiger II P, regular Pershing, Tiger I, regular IS2 and such to BR4, while keeping the OP tanks in BR5 together with adding OP prototypes and such to BR5 could turn it into some sort of “post war 1946” style setting - while keeping BR4 true to WW2, without adding BR6 and potentially diluting the MM.

Of course BR±0 is what we also need for this.

a panther does not belong in the same tier as a tiger 2

just add a br6 at that point

Why not? Tiger II P and Panther have the same turret armor.

Balance wise Panther could simply be the faster vehicle, Tiger II P could lose its top mounted MG to be more of a anti vehicle tank, while Tiger one could be even better in infantry support.

Also Panther has almost 200 pen and is already kinda OP in BR4.
