Some beta-feedback

Hello Gijin,

I would like to give some feedback on the beta here.

  1. tutorials
I think we can handle AWDS. It would be much more important to explain game mechanics. It would be particularly important to explain the leveling of the soldiers.

  2. Scoreboard
Why is the scoreboard only available when you are fighting? Especially when you’ve died and you’re waiting to get back on track, you have plenty of time to look at the scoreboard.

  3. cries of battle
I understand the idea / attempt to reinforce the atmosphere with battle roars. However, especially the German exclamations, some of them are absolute nonsense and are very annoying, especially because of their mass display. There would be fewer exclamations, better and more consistent with the right content.

  4. logistics
Important information about the items is missing. For example, I can buy a small or large backpack. But nowhere do I find out what advantages this brings.

  5. replenishment
The silver soldier cards for the targeted purchase of soldiers are very rare and so you have to rely on the bronze cards that random soldiers give you. Unfortunately I get tons of pilots, snipers, fire fighters etc. but no infantrymen. This prevents training, as you cannot fill the squad with new infantrymen in order to be able to send the leveled soldiers to the academy.

  6. bots
It would be very good if the AI were a little smarter. Often they are around me, e.g. above the trenches and are simply knocked down by the enemy.
The “formation far” command should be 15 meters from me and you should take more cover.

  7. Objective change
If the enemy captures a target object, it should not be possible to walk directly to the next object. There should be a 1 minute phase in which the defenders retreat and the attackers wait.

I will continue playing Enlisted and will get back to you if I can provide any further comments.

Best regards
EifelDriver

If you need an entire page dedicated telling you that a bigger backpack lets you carry more medkits idk what to tell you.

  1. Pioneer placements
Whenever I want to build / place something, it appears in red. To find a green place I have to search around forever. It would be easier if you could simply place the object to be built without this red-green search.

Hi!

tutorials

With you on that one, maybe not particularly on the things you said but things such as squad commands, basic controls and such would be helpful.

Additionally, I do think there could be separate tutorials, say unlocking a new squad could also unlock a tutorial for that specific thing.

Unlocked a tank? Tank driving tutorial.
Pilot? Flight lesson.

These would be optional but at least it could be more useful.

Most plane runs go kamikaze as they can’t stay in the air for that long… At a point they just lose altitude and crash, I’m not sure why but I still suck at flying

Scoreboard

I agree, this and the chat being removed if you are waiting.

Additionally, the chat is not visible (last line of text) if you have the input box on and it instantly disappears when you close the input box.

cries of battle

This! So much this!

I would much rather starting the match with some awesome music that just fades in to explosion and shots that start the battle.
Having all AI go crazy with repetitive lines is not pleasant, nice nor gives the motivation they intended.

If anything make the main squad member (squad leader) go LETS GO or something and have some from the team reply and go at it, rather than cyclic sound polution.

logistics

There is a small i (information) and if you open the item it also lets you press “more information”, given there is not much, on the bottom right corner it is stating what each thing does in a short description.

bots

At this point I would just like the bots in my squad to do what I do, if I’m prone they should be too.

I really enjoy playing as an engineer, go behind enemy lines or hot spots and put a rally point and fortify the position…(how annoying is it that bots are everywhere and don’t allow me to build…), when I am proning certain high visibility zones, I see my squad being picked one by one, look back and some morons are standing up shooting.

Options for return fire, while they mimic your stance, are crucial things imo.

Objective change

I agree, most maps are so poorly balanced…more often than not I find myself in the defending team trying to attack the objective. The attackers have better defence than the defenders! Then with the spawn delay it just makes it so that you get either shot in the back or try to hold your ground while being overhelmed.

I can also add that I find it very annoying that AI has no los penalty…smoke? No problem, folliage? Not an issue, pew pew all the way and you die from shots being fired from all seeing robots…

I’ve found the artillery/mortar/bombers to be very frustrating to play around. Enough of the enemy team having access to these weaponry means that being anywhere near the objective is just constant fuzzy cam. Maybe limit the amount of radio operators and mortar teams on the field at any time?

AA guns don’t seem to have much use against aircraft. They are very slow to move and if you aren’t immediately targeted by the aircraft you’ll be sniped off the turret before you’ve lined up a shot. It’s also nearly impossible to see where the aircraft is from the gun.

Would be nice if the squad stance matched the player. If my belly hits the dirt I want the rest of the squad to follow suit immediately. They could also yell less.
