Solution to the Armaguerra: Make it shoot 7.35

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armaguerra_Mod._39_rifle

Yes, Wikipedia isn’t exactly the best source, but my point still stands. The Armaguerra 39 was originally meant to chamber the new spitzer 7.35 Carcano round, rather than the round nosed 6.5 Carcano. I remember Ian McCollum mentioning this as well on either his video on the Carcano M38 or the Armaguerra.

Assuming the damage debuff to semi autos across the two cartridges remains consistent, this would give it an increase in damage of (11.3/20.5)(21.8)=12.0 damage without upgrades, or (13.6/23.6)(25.1)=14.5 with full upgrades. Combined with a bayonet, I think this would turn the Armaguerra into a rifle that can down full vitality at close range. If need be I guess it could be buffed to 15.0 fully upgraded for the sake of downing flametroopers with vitality as well, but I’m not really well versed in game balancing, so maybe that’s a good idea, maybe it doesn’t need that, IDK.

Either way, that’s my take on how to make the Armaguerra better. What do you guys think?

  • Keep it in 7.35 Carcano
  • Create a new gun foldered into the Armaguerra that shoots 7.35
  • Keep the Armaguerra in 6.5 Carcano

The Armaguerra’s already had a massive buff (RPM has gone from 320 to 420, which is above Type Otsu levels with an extra bullet and same damage). I personally don’t mind how it feels right now. It may not be Meta, but it doesn’t have to be and shouldn’t be.

It’s still capable of killing non-vitality in one shot and can do follow up shots pretty well now. I would say, even with less damage, it’s on par with the Fedorov. It shouldn’t be trying to catch up to BR III rifles.

The Armaguerra 39 is pretty damn good now, after the recent buff.

Armaguerra mod 39 is no longer that garbage rifle it used to be. Buff the Armaguerra further would be an overkill.
