Lately in custom matches there has been rampant teamkilling. This isn’t to point fingers, this is to raise awareness and potential solution.
In other games if one person team killed 3 people. next damage dealt to friendly unit is actually reflected back to one’s self. I think this system would be a lot better than letting people go wild as it is right now… The removal of ability of taking friendly weapon when Teamkilled was step in the right direction. but it doesn’t stop People from killing you off AA or AT or MG to just steal it- play with it.
could this be implemented to stop this from happening (the purposefull trolling behaviour) I will attach screenshot and block out name of the players causing trouble to stop public shaming .
It would also stop people being kicked if they have accidentaly dropped bombs on enemy tank and friendlies are in vicinity… I think being killed in plane is lot more fair on the accidental ones than the straight out kick. saying that if it happens 3x in row instant kick regardless of it being reflected could be another added measure to punish such behaviour.
If this isn’t an option please fix the voting system having requiring 13+votes when most its around 8 to get rid of teamkiller is frustrating. then we get punished for leaving Teamkiller riddled games.

I agree, and would like to take it a step further too. In addition to teamkilling, there is also the issue of team sabotage. Not even getting into fortifications like sandbags and barbwire as that is it’s own discussion and a long one at that. Primarily I would like to bring up MG nests, Field Guns, AA, ammo boxes, and mines.
The only reason teammates should be breaking these down is if its during a fallback and to keep enemies from using them. However, not even in just custom games, but standard games, we have been having problems with teammates using molotovs or flamethrowers to kill us off of our structures which they then break down. With mines, its gotten really frustrating where teammates will go around and blow up every mine their team has put down, and don’t take damage from doing so.
The last couple of nights alone I’ve seen a HUGE increase to teammates killing us when we are using HMGs and then breaking them down. Not entirely sure why. Could be because they feel we are getting too many kills, could be just simply trolling, could even be that they have a friend on the enemy team that they are trying to help. IDK. Though I agree with you 110% there needs to be more punishment both in customs and normal mode for teamkilling (and sabotaging team).

it’s hard to track that I guess deconstructing friendly structure should send a permission request to owner player to let them choose if friendly can deconstruct it or not which could block them from doing so. not the neatest fix, it’s hard to tackle this one. I wouln’t even be opposed to locking entry just like vehicles have apparently (not noticed personally yet) Another could be adding option to remove player using your AT/AA/MG/HMG from the build so if you had specific plans they don’t go revealing your position or wasting your ammo
Sadly its a double edged sword. While it stops teammates from breaking your structures, it also prevents teammates breaking down troll barbwire and sandbags put up around team rally points. Don’t get me wrong, I agree SOMETHING needs to be done, but not that.
Perhaps instead, if a teammate repeatedly breaks down friendly fortifications (10+) it would flag the instance. At the end of the game, it asks the player that put the fortifications up if they believed teammates taking them down was done to troll/ maliciously. If so, they click “YES”. This flags it for review by a moderator of some kind. If it was indeed done maliciously, it could result in game suspensions or bans.

I see I haven’t thought about that. good spot. about the manual reviewing I think that is little too optimistic but manual review will forever be the best because you have a person that can make the call but it’s an expensive resource
The thing is that with a manual review it will be a large workload to begin with, but as people will inevitably begin being suspended or banned for their offenses, the workload will die down quite a bit.
