Soldier in reserve count after merge?

For example if I am at max soilders for US normandy at 30 and US Tunisia at 30, will their be 60 for US after merge or will half of them get deleted or maybe auto-sold?? Not sure if this has been addressed anywhere

You keep all your soldiers in reserves, the only thing being over the limit does is being unable to enlist new soldiers
