Devs, why doesn’t the US M2 Mortar used in the Normandy campaign have a M4 Collimator sight? Without it Mortars are basically useless.
Collimator sights have been around since WW1. And plenty were in use in WW2.

I agree, hope this topic gets noticed by a dev or helper.
Because that’s not how current game mechanics of mortars works rn
just look from map where ur shells hit at.
Couple of problems with that kind of thinking.
1)You have a limited supply of ammo.
2) You can fire that Mortar 9 times without ever moving it and all 9 shells will land in vastly different areas.
So, not really valid or helpful. Sorry.
Then it’s mechanics are broken. Because that is how they work IRL!
This is game and not a reality simulation.

Press V → setup mortar → and magically you know the distance.
Had to actually try this one and the dispersion was less than 10m for 9 shells.
Majority hit the 5x5 area one went little further.

sad how your brain can’t figure out any way to combine a sight and the game
Say if im wrong but use mortar is more fun in two,when a player do the spotter and the other operate the mortar
