Stock hit power is lower than maxed Thompson if both are the same lvl then mp43 still has more damage at 8.0 to 6.8 and 8.8 to 8.2 respectively
Like I said several times now I have played 10+ battles in Normandy after the MP43/1 got nerfed. I do see not a huge difference. It is less good in CQC in theory, but do not forget we talk about milliseconds here. The MP43/1 does shot 9,5 shots per seconds, before it was 11 shots per second, in CQC it hits for 8,8 damage which means two shots to kill an enemy, before the nerf it was 9,6 damage which also means two shots to kill.
On ranges of 50-100 meters it feels a lot more precise, which means more shots hit.
I am not even sure if it is kinda better now, on mid to long range, I did some bullshit shots today in Berlin around 100-150m and I was quite surprised how easily I could hit enemies.
Just to make it clear, yes it lost DPS, but instead you gained accuracy.
If you say that most of the battles are CQC, yes it is true, as the most important thing is to attack or defend the cap. But if you play on mid-range you can just kill enemies way better that are on the cap or moving towards it than before.
But yeah that is my OPINION and everyone can have their own.
Still makes no sense.
A 7.92x33mm kurz has roughly 1900J of energy.
.45ACP has between 500J and 800J.
9x19mm has between 470J and 700J.
The thompson should hit closer to an MP40 than to an STG, yet here we are…
(PS: I know energy isn’t everything when it comes to how much damage a bullet does, but it still tells you a lot, especially when the difference is this huge.)
And just to make it absolutely clear MP43/1 vs Fedorov seems like total bullshit, either they have to severally nerf the Fedorov or buff the MP43/1 and make it even better than it was. But yeah now we have the MP43/1 in two campaigns, so they need also to balance it for Normandy and in Normandy, to me, it still is a great weapon.
And just to make clear, I am one of the guys that played the MP43/1 exclusively since it got added. I fucking love my MP43/1 it is my favorite gun. That said I should be the one that is totally butthurt because he is a biased and a fucking Axis Main … .
Or just remove the fedorov, cause it literally makes no fricking sense there.
It was pulled out of service in 1941 during early barbarossa. I’ve yet to understand what it’s doing in 1945 in Berlin.
A lot of things do not make sense!
Why are penetration values in the game off?
Why do some tanks only have access to ammunition without HE-filler?
Why do some planes (germans) do not have bombs and rockets, while allied planes of the same level have them and they historically could have them too.
Why do we not get something that is more like the P-47.
Why is there the MKb 42 in Stalingrad when they said they want the campaign to be about bolt-actions. Why did they even originally planed it for engineers and troopers?
There are so many why’s … .
And this is just another one to the list of crap that makes no fricking sense and should be changed asap…
The answer to pretty much all of the why’s is: it is just a game.
They balance it how they feel like they want it, looking at Fedorov vs MP43/1 I would say it is clearly the intention to favor the russians!
Is this bullshit? Sure, I never argued about it.

Hail Hydra brings also back HnG flashbacks .
I’d say that the bf110g-2 is comparable to the thunderbolt
I still prefer the MP-43 over the Fedorov. The ironsights and recoil controllability is much better on the MP-43.
Don’t get me wrong, as you know I absolutely love the Bf 110 but the P-47 has six more rockets and a 500 lb bomb, I would say it is more devastating in CAS.
But yeah it is just like that, every faction has some pro and con’s. They do not always make sense, from a historical viewpoint, or even from a game balance viewpoint.
It is like it is, one can only adapt .
I guessed as much, that actually is the point thought, the Fedorov has more (a lot more!) damage potential than the MP43/1 but you need more skill to control it. So if you are good at handling recoil, the Fedorov will be a lot better than the MP43/1.
But yeah I think that is why I love the MP43/1 cause it is not so sweaty to use it, lol, beside going CQC with it ^^
Instant indiziert!
Yeah sure. Mkb42 in stalingrad has bit less dispersion then mp43/1.
Someone posted datamined stats and it has like 21% of dispersion… yes 80% LESS
Its not even half of fedorov avtomat.
So statiscally its one of the best automatic weapon if not outright best one
Its the horizontal recoil which makes the Fedorov hard to use not the vertical. You cannot reliably control horizontal recoil in this game, unless you are firing single shots.
Exactly. I think the problem is not MP43 being underperforming, but is that Fedorov is ridiculously overperforming.
