“War Thunder publisher Gaijin Entertainment has kicked off a crowdfunding campaign for a new, Second World War-based online FPS called Enlisted. It promises large-scale battles of up to 100 players, spread across massive, destructible battlefields, beginning with the Battle of Moscow and the Invasion of Normandy. Additional campaigns will be added, including one chosen by players, as pre-release sales hit various goals.”
This was stated by enlisted when the crowfunding started so will we get the 100 players mode or it was simply marketing gimmick?
I got a feeling they will hide behind the fact that there are up to 150 soldiers running around rn.
Even if these were supported, they would not be viable with a playerbase this small.
Where is that quote from? I can only find mentions of “up to one hundred soldiers” in a battle, but it doesn’t say anything about 100 players per battle.
It’s a copout on their part, but I don’t think anything said 4 years ago should be taken too seriously anyway. I’ve seen enough crowdfunding projects to view it as a miracle that the game actually exists four years later (it may still fizzle out soon enough as far as I’m concerned).
So it is perfectly ok for me to say I will make a game of 100 players which consists of 2 real human players and rest 98 bots divided into two teams I guess?
I love the squads mode but if devs add 100 players, it could easlily replace squads. The only problem is that enlisted is a new game and doesnt have a huge playerbase to fill the space of 100 player battle
They never said players in official posts. Only soldiers.
Then a news site translated that into players, and that’s where the misconception comes from.
