Smoke Ordinance needs an update, especially with this change to tank repair!

Currently, the only smoke cover that is really noticeable on a large scale is that from the tank smoke shells, but even that is more volume than duration.

Proposed updates:

Smoke Grenades (Infantry)

  • +20% volume
  • +30% duration

Smoke Grenades (from Tanks)

  • +10% volume
  • +40% duration

Smoke Shells (from Tanks)

  • +20% duration

Smoke shells from Artillery

  • Decreased spread
  • +20% volume
  • +20% duration

Smoke shells from 50&60mm mortars

  • Equivalent to smoke updated smoke grenades (infantry)

Smoke shells form 80mm mortars

  • Equivalent to updated Smoke Shells from tanks

Totally agree! I’d say to increase the duration even longer, but given that 20 second is a literal eternity to some people on these forums that’s probably asking too much

Id Be up for that. Smoke in Warthunder has a massive volume.

I might be putting smoke grenades on my tankers now lol

make the reloading of the smoke artillery faster

I disagree on letting it come back faster. If they did it would be far too easy to keep the field permanently cloaked in smoke.

That is TOO much.

45 seconds for example. Not too often.

i dont think the artillery smoke should be reduced spread, even if it is buffed. Its already an impossible task asking players to use it instead of an artillery strike.

Also, often in battles that long line of hiding is the only thing that can get your team across a killing field

In Red Orchestra 2, rushing head first without smoke was suicide, in this game its the norm.

45 second cooldown on something with a duration of 20+ seconds?

That means that approximately half the entire game (or more) there will be a smokescreen down.

That’s TOO much.

Forwarded, thanks for the suggestion !
