The smoke covering are must be 1.5 times bigger at least.
Only 1 smoke grenade is not enough

Nah, smoke grenades where useless some time ago, now they working fine enough.
i sugest you get Large Grenade pouch to at least one of you soldiers filled whit 3 smokes grenades, in Flametrower squads two. normaly i place in the grenande laucher guy has well. so you might use the smoke breachs to lauch greandes so on.

so they need a buff. 
I don’t think the area needs to be wider, but instead taller. If you are looking for a wider smoke, just toss multiple.

Also the smoke needs to last longer. In fact it would be great if all smoke lasted longer, from explosions to gunfire it all dissipates far too quickly
