So, from the first open test to today, the AI is generally considered to be pretty useless except at being close respawn pool. They are now a bit more efficient at shooting and get less in the way of players but still, i have few suggestion:
-Make them flee allied player like pest when closer than 2-3 meter (except to capture point).
-Make them naturally attracted to cover so they don’t stand in the middle of a fire fight for no reason.
I know that it might be difficult (AI will have to understand what is and is not a cover dynamically.
It might sound a bit obvious but i think it will also help to slow a bit the pace of the game to have AI that don’t suicide themselves.
I also think it might be blend nicely with a better order system like an “ambush” order. I didn’t dig much in the idea so feel free to expand.
EDIT:
-yeah also maybe redo the way they pickup a target because 180-one-tap is a bit frustrating when you ambush as many have pointed out xD
comparing to previous tests AI seams to shot/kill more players per live.
they are still random. but once again comparing to previous tests they seam to shot more/kill more.
as suicides, my only complain is havin them walking on friendly molotovs
The AI should not be suddenly turn his gun back and give you a one-shoot-kill.
That’s like Aim-bot, and I don’t know why they could shoot me without aiming.
I just aim him and he turn 180° give you a head shoot.
-Please remove the suddenly turn back headshoots because it’s unreal and break the balance.
It’s easy to tell apart AI and players, when you aim at them and not in their eyesight, if he turn to you suddenly, it’s AI, if he do nothing and keep going, it’s an actual player.
Maybe you are right, I am unluckily, but when you using a sniper gun, and you are behind a AI ,you aimed at him, about 30 meters, and he turned back suddenly and gave you a perfect headshoot, and always like this, it’s unbearable.
Last match I hid in a building behind the point. The enemy started capping. I went to the doorway and proceeded to hose them down with SMG fire.
There were about 7 enemies on the point, probably all but one of them a bot. As soon as I opened fire, they turned and returned fire instantly, even though they were also being pressed from the other side of the point. I got 2 or 3 kills when I should have gotten them all. The bot over-responsiveness makes tactical gameplay useless and makes this game much less fun.
