One thing that is lacking in my opinion is a game mode in which you have more time to prepare your defence or assault. We have a lot of options of building fortifications, we have shovels to dig in, but most of the time, game mode is too dynamic to dig in propperly. Maybe some more experienced engineer squads could be able to build pillboxes etc? Anti-tank dugouts? Maybe just in this certain game mode?
Assaulting squad could have more offensive buildings such as mortar placements, maybe artillery guns (not AT artillery).
It’s just something that came to my mind when I was talking with friends about our time in Hell let loose and Post Scriptum.
I should have just said “battlefield” in general. I really enjoyed BF V…one of the few I spose…them canning support so quickly pissed me off which Is why I ended up in Enlisted…didnt touch 2042 cos I was still pissed (and it was shite).

such fortifications could be easily abused making it impossible to win. such fortifications would have to be limited to pre-planned location/build spots.
bad bunker the gun if in the right position would prevent any fire or grenades from going inside
again no real way to kill defender, the bunkers would have to either be destructible or provide clear vulnerabilities from a direction other than the rear. protection but not too much, and no but planes or tanks. sorry but when i play infantry i want to be more than a distraction.
As stated, something more battlefield but not verdun. so halfway between call of duty or fortnight arcade game and hll , strategic play. i dont want to play the entire game prone plinking across the map any more than i want zerg rushes.
I played Battlefield five for a month or two, then stopped. Since it was through Steam, it is currently uninstalled on my PC to save space. Both my kids played Battlefield, but I think they preferred BF 1, but I don’t think they play anymore. Both played Enlisted at one time as well, but both quit Enlisted probably a year and a half ago or so. My oldest is going to be 33 in November and my youngest just turned 19 in June.
