Slow down the soldier’s movement to be more realistic, I hope something like this is implemented, because in Enlisted it seems that the soldier doesn’t have the weight of the weapon, I think the Enlisted soldier should be slower when walking and running, just like the Hell Let Loose and Post Scriptum games.
no
But this is not HHL or PS game. They have very different gameplay.
Maybe not as slow as in HLL or PS but I would like movement to be a little slower.
But I guess that better animations (so I can see what the enemy is actually doing) would be better, at least for now.
no
Go in rock simulator if you want slow gameplay. And rock simulator have most realistic gameplay
Enlisted is not entirely focused on realism, it is a game to enjoy after all.
@others Use proper arguments if you try to trash someones suggestions. And yes, you tried to trash it.
I wouldn’t mind SOME animations to be slower, like the reloading ones. I feel like I always have magic magazines poping in my hand to very quickly replace the old ones.
Maybe a bit like in RO1. The rest feels fine already though.
Gib me back malfunctions plz.
Oh man yes that too lol. Also not only it was impossible to “snap shoot” like in CS “no scope style” but it often resulted in hilarious adrenaline pumped moments when you met another rifleman, you both emptied your rifles (but missed every shots as snapshooting was a definite inaccurate thing) and ended up fighting in a brawl because both players knew reloading would take too long.
Aaaah. Memories.
Overall I’m definitely on board.
More specifically:
-
Vaulting through windows needs to be slower. It’s like running hurdles right now.
-
Changing poses needs to be slower. You can teleport into the prone right now.
-
Weight only matters right now when the weight is in your hands. Having high weight in your inventory should consistently slow you down and reduce stamina.
Many perks right now are irrelevant until the above happen.
150% agree.
Even though I choose that perk for almost every soldier, I wish it to be gone.
today i saw a bot pass by, prone, stand, 360, no scope i agree
Weight and momentum I think could go a long way in making things feel more “realistic” instead of people with 20+lb machine guns going full sprint on a dime/turning on a dime.
Specifically what Shanghai said, coupled with the change pose perk, you appear to not even complete the animation of changing poses and quite literally teleport to the ground. It’s incredibly lame.
I’d absolutely love if they ported the ‘auto-bolt’ option from RO2/RS2, where you have the option to cycle the gun manually with another click
I’m fine with movement adjustments because trying to hit players who have the momentum of bumble bee’s on cocaine get’s tedious after a while.
RO1 & 2 tried to get as close as possible to simulation while retaining fun arcade elements. The firearms were very well researched and rendered. For example the bolt action manual cycle you speak of:
In a bolt action rifle, ANY bolt action, when you open up the bolt because you want to reload, the round chambered is ejected. It’s lost. It’s why that function was present in RO2: you could shoot, then instead of cycling a new round in, chose to reload. It would eject the empty casing of your preceding shot instead of a unused round.
I loved the attention to detail of all firearms. Also, reloading wasn’t super GI Joe quick, I remember your soldier even struggled trying to load a stripper clip in his rifle in RO1, accentuating the stressful feeling you SHOULD feel in such combat situation knowing you were probably just a farm boy with very few training that got drafted into conflict.
A little off topic but Enlisted could be kind of interesting with the boxed free aim in RO2.
