Today i was playing pacific as sniper shooting guy maybe 40 meters away i missed 3 shots while he was standing still realized its an AI it looked at me then looked back forward and just standing still.
So …to make things slightly more polished and immersive …if there’s a bullet passing by AI’s head and if idk … 2 or 3 or more players are shooting at it, it should look for the closest cover possible and retreat to it
If its already near some cover and is being shot at, to crouch or if its at open field like grass to lay down in bushes or something
If anything it would make its survivability better than just standing still and not doing anything
The AI in this game are hot garbage. This, along with a million other things need improvement with the AI.
The majority of the time, I send them out to the objective and do my best to cover them. 8/10 times they all get slaughtered…at least now they aren’t in my way so that I can go take the objective, now.
One of my biggest pet peeves with the AI is that when they shoot, they are either dead accurate or can’t hit the side of a barn. I think it would help gameplay if suppressive fire was used by AI more. Reduce the accuracy and reduce the range. This way, at close range the fights are more intense without just getting snapshot, and at range, players could maneuver to snipe or flank for good effect without getting snapshotted.
Make the sqaud AI and controls like ‘Brother in arms’ earned in blood. they look for cover and take it. they pop up and peep and look out for enemies. You can tell them to give suppressing fire. They throw grenades if the enemy is close.
