The firing system of the SKS45 is based on the PTRS-41 an anti-tank rifle used during WW2. The round was developed from the larger 7.62x54 mm R down to the still beastly 7.62x39 mm M1943. The x54R is more comparable to full caliber rifle rounds of the era while the x39 is more comparable to the round of the STG44 the 7.92×33mm Kurz.

Prototypes of the SKS-45 were reportorially sent to the First Byelorussian Front in World War II for testing. Formed in October 1943 it was one of the largest and most powerful Soviet army groups during the war, it remained active until it was dissolved June 1945. The weapon was judged satisfactory by the army, no doubt its superior handling to the AVS-36.

The SKS-45 is based on the SKS-31 and not the SKS-30, the 30 and 31 differing only in there feed system. The SKS-30 being fed by an En-block system like the Garand and the SKS-31 being fed by stripper clips. The x39 went on to be used by various platforms including the AK47 that eventually replaced it.

The SKS-45 is stripper clip fed making it a better br3 rifle than some. It k is also an intermediate round but bigger than the M1 or STG44 Use in the game in fact half way between the 33 and 51mm round of the AVS36. Few models of the SVS45 exist before 1950 as the barrels were not chromed. I think it make a great br3 replacement if like japan an exception to the tech tree could be made.
