Yeah, lets be real here, if this was not Manchuria, they wouldn’t have teased us like this.
You don’t need to test Karelia like this, do you.
No you need to test a “new frontline” between two factions that had never faced eachother yet in the game in normal game mode.
probably wishful thinking really, if something as big as meaningful new subfactions were going to be added, it would have been mentioned in the dev blog in some way.
Wishful thinking indeed, there’s Italian and Commonwealth things, yet they’re still waiting to be considered sub factions…
…
I’m glad if it’s not Manchuria. Might be an unpopular opinion but I care not for it. There’s enough difficulties trying to balance things as they are already, I don’t see Japan becoming a punching bag a good thing.
Would’ve loved Italy… But it looks nothing like it. Something Eastern European perhaps.
because there was no mention of adding more subfaction squads to the game, as long as there arent Italian and British versions of every squad type, or this issue is not fixed in a way, there is no way to add more subfactions, the best you can do is add premium and event squads like the two Chinese squads which was very controversial to say the least.
At this point I just want a new map. I don’t care either much if it’s Manchuria or Karelia, or somewhere in the Eastern Front. I’m just tired of playing the same doom rotation of the old maps.
I hope devs notice how much the community comes together when there’s a new map around the corner. So they can start pumping new maps like crazy. The ideal would be having 4 new maps per year with some reworks of the older ones in between, but one can only dream of such a thing.
hot take here, but I don’t think we need new TT content in every update, we already have lots of toys, We need more focused major updates. Ex: A whole update based on adding new maps and updating old ones. Or a complete overhaul of the customization system with hundreds of new outfit options etc…
Imo the current update formula of a new map (sometimes) some random crap in the TT and a bunch of other stuff doesn’t work anymore. The devs should focus on specific areas. This way, over the next few years, they could fix many of the problems we have now, and hopefully launch a new marketing campaign in the end to help grow the playerbase, which benefits everyone
Yea, people keep on suggesting random prototypes that never left the testing phase (which in certain/specific cases is ok, cough Japan) to just fill an unneeded niche in a faction.
But no, why give out good updates when you can give out random protype slop.
Unpopular take, we need to reduce the new event guns and vehicles which clearly take up too much development time.
Tech Tree additions should be priority.
Not a hot take, at least for me, because I agree with that. And I’ve been thinking about it.
Imagine a focused update on solely improving AI, or new maps. Instead of gimmicky stuff. More maps means more gameplay, and we’ll be enjoying our premiums in more variety of fronts.
New weapons it’s cool and all, but new maps means less burnout from the playerbase. New maps keeps things exciting and there will always be an ever-expanding list of suggestion for new fronts try, and even ones that are mainstream popular and would’ve been featured in a WW2 game back in 2003, and they’re still yet to be featured here. So there’s a lot of fresh content ideas, and unlike weapons. Which has reached a point of rehashing and prototyping so much it’s losing its core WW2.
Bottom line for me. I think this new map will be an historical border dispute conflict from WW2, it could be Karelia, Manchuria or maybe Poland. All options sound cool to me. But please devs, don’t stop there. Keep making new maps.
