Berlin is a great example the Soviets are gonna get Tank with an HMG which can break a majority of the terrain if anyone knows how powerful an HMG is.
So it’s time the engineers get a buff reinforced fortifications Stronger sandbags Maybe a cement wall to stop an HMG.
And please do expand on anything I could have missed to counter HMG’s with better defenses

I don’t think that the HMG on the tank will have such a great impact, although powerful, no doubt.

Still that does not mean we don’t need something to stop an HMG and if I remember correctly from what Reaper Said some sandbags had cement in them so wouldn’t be a bad thing if we had a sandbag which could actually stop HMG.

But a sandbag with concrete won’t really stop an APCBC round. That would be worse, because it would make spall killing defenders behind it.

No matter how they implement it it’ll still be much better than what we have right now.

HMG’s on vehicles are significantly less powerful compared to the buildable ones, so it will not have that much of an impact

You may be correct, I’ll have to do some research, however, Greyparrots still has a point.
The concrete sandbag walls would be intended to stop HMG rounds and fragmentation more effectively than standard sandbag walls.
Will they be completely indestructible?
- Definitely not. However the intention is to at least hold up better than what our current options are.
Personally I would like to see them experiment with my suggestion regarding deconstruction with these as well.
Perhaps give the upgraded defensive fortifications (sandbag walls, barbwire, and Czech Hedgehogs) ONLY to engineer specific squads. More durability and resistances, and as far as enemies deconstructing them, it take either an engineer or other troop with a TOOLKIT CONSUMABLE to break it down.
TNT mines are still an option, as are large explosive ordinance direct hits.
So is that a guarantee that it won’t break sandbag walls with the HMG?
Also @Euthymia07 what is your personal opinion on potentially stronger defensive structures for Engineer squads?

I think the average survival time of a tank commander firing the mg while exposed is about 8-10 seconds.
Engineers are only useful for building AA (currently horrible) and rally points.
in a match with experienced players, sandbags and barbed wires are not good for much, after all, they cannot last 5 minutes in the match.
I agree that there should be some improvement in this.
A sandbag can’t stop a 50. BMG in real life, (at least the sandbags used in the game). However if layered it can. Concrete is also very brittle, so a tank shell can easily pass through. Concrete would create spall when the shell penetrated along with the spall from the shell itself, and if it has explosive filler creating little protection for people behind it.
MGS on top of tanks, be it Heavy or light are huge risk reward weapons. So easy to pop the commander at any range.
Honestly how many people do you see using commander cupola guns? I use them flat out, but while I see many people stick their head out so they can see better while moving, Ive never really seen anyone use the MG (besides myself)
and since Commander optics are in, maybe less people will pop top.

Honestly I don’t like heavy machine guns
It’s kind of overused, the heavy machine gun can easily control an area, and you have to pay a lot to counter it, but the heavy machine gun is easy to build
Heavy machine guns make destructible cover like sandbag walls useless
Engineers should be allowed to build taller and less easily destroyed bunkers, the current sandbag walls are so low you have to get down on the ground for protection, but stupid AI likes to stand up
