There is nothing that stop adding hull MG AI in tanks. I think it is great time to add it.
My Italians tankers could certainly use another mag taking 10 seconds to reload to dump
Why AI?
Just let the player do it.
In the other hands, they already nerf tank MGs. And that’s a reason the dev have to take in consideration.
You cant be 2 place at the same time
If hull MG works only when player controls it, it may as well not be implemented at all.
It would be “useful” only for tanks with slow turret trawerse. I put useful in brackets at it would actually hinder your performance if you aren’t good at multitasking (you have to simultaneously control two guns facing different directions).
Weren’t you the one that complained that AI is just cannon fodder? Give it a job then.

You can shoot with the gunner and the commander at the time already.
I personally perfer AI controls it, but it is controversary so just make it selectable for the sake of personal favour.
we need an ai gunner on tanks that can be shot off and we should be able to switch to that seat as well
AI gunner that will auto shoot everybody while you camp in front of the capture point…
What can possibly go wrong?
I’m yet to see a tank that can allow itself to stay still for 5min while not geing in the grey zone.
- The commander and gunner are in the same place ( in Turret or in the hull if it turetles) 2. They operate the same gun
No bc that would be too funny and DF can’t do it.
The thing is that IA mg could cover you from an blind angle, like if your shooting a tank or infantry you could have 1 side covered by the IA.
one feet on the triger? and the hand on the other MG?
