I think we can all agree that the disparity between players and AI between teams is usually pretty vast, almost always resulting in a win for the team with the most players. This makes playing on the AI stacked side very frustrating and unrewarding.
Many times I’ve pushed hard with over 100 kills and a full team of AI to not even take the first point because the other team has 5 or so average players with 30 kills each. Frustrating indeed.
My proposal is simple. Add an exp and rewards modifier for each AI on your team at the end of the match. A fair 3% bonus for each AI squad won’t solve the issue, but at least make the match not feel hopeless and have some kind of reprieve from the guaranteed loss. This should remain in effect for the end state of the game as well, as it counters players who D/C or quit.
One thing I am noticing in a lot of these matches, and I’ve mentioned this several times before I think at this point, is that since there is no benefit at all, or a penalty I should say, for having a negative kill death ratio, I often see players at the end of the match that have a lot of kills but they’ve died so many Times they’ve actually contributed significantly to our loss.
I get that playing the point can be very expensive in terms of lives especially with all of the artillery we have, I think an obvious solution to that which was brought up at some point in the past recently was the removal of radios from squads except for the actual radio squad, but if you’re taking full sections into the point and you’re losing them one after another…
Personally I’m not terribly concerned with whether or not we lose or win the match I just want to know that I’m having a lot of fun shooting stuff, and then even while playing for marshals rank it really didn’t take that long to achieve it, the point they’re being that you really do win more than you lose even playing axis Tunisia.
And I’m kind of wondering if this isn’t true for everybody, I don’t think there’s anybody that hasn’t actually or isn’t actually able to achieve Marshalls rank?
I’m at Major Gen now but I play pretty casually, only until I complete my dailies before hopping off to play something else. But ya, Marshal “should” be achievable by most I believe. To your point however, idk if you have played a solo custom match vs only bots, but they mindlessly make a B line straight to the point and you can wipe them out with near impunity, utterly bleeding their tickets in 10 minutes or so.
I don’t want to play games were I constantly lose, that isn’t fun. Especially if I’m the only real player on my team watching all my AI get slaughtered and there is no tactical move I can make to be successful when playing against multiple other players. It’s not about the rank, it’s about the fun of the game and the challenge of a fair match, which is rarely the case right now.
This is also a very good idea. AI always spawn with the basic weapons and gear even if they are based on a Marshal rank player. The AI should be equipped with whatever that player has for that squad.
Console players have aim assist just like in WT which gives more of an advantage than mouse and keyboard PC users. Even lets them spot players in cover which is borderline cheating imo.
Apart from Moscow I think the main issue of mm is that it prefers putting people in matches as fast as possible which should be optional like someone once proposed. Either fast or “quality” matches.
