Cycling through a squad, when you need to use a certain soldier’s gear, is a bit of hassle, especially with larger squad sizes. It takes too long, it’s easy to overshoot by accident and having to cycle again and I also find it a bit disorienting, when your vision shifts from soldier to soldier. It would be nicer, if you could jump directly to your desired soldier and I don’t think this should be difficult to implement.
Easiest solution: Hold down a certain button (like ctrl maybe) and then hit a corresponding number key.
Fancier solution: Hold button to open a command wheel, that shows name and gear of every squad mate.
Additional solution: Press button to cycle to next soldier of a different class.

I think this is great idea because handling your squad is in big role in squads gamemode. The command wheel type of menu could be the solution most of people would be happy with. But I would like to have a option to bind squad members to keybinds. This way you can choose the squad member that fits in the task in hand more easily.
There are limitations for people that use controller so atleast they could have a option to use command wheel type of solution for faster squad member change.
