Simple, but unique Pacific themed HA event (Marines vs. IJA)

This is a simple, but unique event idea that I had.
It allows for swappable weapons on most squads too!

All uniforms are made with assets currently in the game!

Each team would get 4 squads

REWARDS:
US:
9-man Marine rifle squad: (swappable weapons)

  • 1 assaulter w M50
  • 1 Gunner with M1918
  • 2 Riflemen with M1941
  • 4 riflemen with M1903A1 USMC
  • 1 Engineer with M50 (these engis would be able to use smgs and rifles)

Notes:

  • all soldiers would be given large ammo pouches (that would be invisible on the model, can be done with a simple “hides_array” in the cosmetics code)
  • All riflemen, assault, and MG would get MK2 frags
  • Engi would get BP with three medkits and a repair kit, and TNT pack
  • all soldiers would have shovels and flasks

6-man Marine engineer squad: (swappable weapons)

  • 6 engineers with M1928A1 Thompson (can also equip rifles, for those who wish to)

Notes:

  • all would have shovels, tnt packs, Tnt charges and detonators, three medkits, and a repair kit.
  • All would have flasks

7-man Marine MG squad: (swappable weapons)

  • 4 machine gunners with Browning M1918A1
  • 2 Engineers with M1941 rifles (same loadout as listed in engi squad, just without the ability to use smgs)
  • 1 sniper with M1903A1 and S&W M1917 (would also have an M15 WP grenade)

Australian Partisan Squad: (Locked weapons)

  • 6 partisans with No.5 Jungle carbine

Standalone guns:

  • M1918 Field mod (cut down barrel, improvised foregrip, and a welded 30rd mag) x2
  • Winchester M70 Sniper rifle x3 (limited use by the Marines as a training rifle, with a few seeing combat use)
  • engraved S&W M1917 x1

IJA:
9-Man rifle squad:(swappable weapons)

  • assaulter with Type-100/40
  • Gunner with Type 96
  • Engineer with Type-38 Carbine (can equip and SMG)
  • 4 riflemen with Type-38 Rifle
  • 2 riflemen with Type-4 Garand clone

Notes:

  • Loadouts would be pretty much the same as the US squad

6-man engineer squad: (swappable weapons)

  • 6 engineers with Type2a Smgs

7-man MG squad (swappable weapons)

  • 4 gunners with type-99 Mgs and Nambu Type-14 pistols
  • 2 engis with Type-38 Carbines (no smgs)
    1 sniper with Type-99 sniper and 1 WP grenade

Partisan squad (locked weapons)

  • 6 partisans with captured M1917 Enfield rifles

Standalone weapon unlocks

  • SIG1930 x2
  • Type-Otsu (or Type-Ko, I think) with scope x3
  • Engraved Type-14 x1

With this type of event, not only do we get some unique squads and cool outfits, but we get the ability to customize those squads as we wish. This event also serves to give some love to the HA crowd in enlisted.

Might do one involving Germans later

I believe devs should launch HA events before the introduction of each new campaign, on the maps of that campaign. And between the introduction of new campaigns, launch HA events for old campaigns.

forgot to mention, THIS WOULD NOT BE A GAMEPLAY EVENT. you would be able to complete though a regular 5k per day in normal games

I guess this is the new event format as next event will be something like this but instead of US vs Japan , it will be UK vs IT (I assume in Tunisian maps)

BTW as a reward I like to get a squad , nothing against standalone weapons but a squad with unique weapon in my mind is better than standalone unique weapons .

fair point, but I like to customize my squads and a custom Marine squad would be cool, and that way, I can use a squad without being forced to use some prototype weapon

That looks very cool, BUT he must have these things also, his GM-38 gas mask, his spare goggles on his helmet, and gloves. And that is it really. (Bonuses points for having a greatcoat too, I them the most)

Yeah, it wasn’t historically too. I just like them, mainly the GM-38.

that’s why they should just overhault the customization system to work like the editor where you can pick whatever combos you want. Just link items together with a specific tags and arrays that define campaigns, linked items, (whether it uses the adaptable versions of pouches, or the old properly rigged ones that look better, but are not properly set up for all items), prices etc. just make everything cost one ticket since there are like a million items. can’t be too difficult
