Simple, and the easiest way to solve the weapon balance

I don’t mind, because I prefer the g43. I have MAX 2 fg per squad, and only use them when I must enter buildings. And even then I go in with g43…

Thing is very overrated. In fact it’s the scapegoat of “if I’m bad it’s because my opponent has better things”… thing is, COMPLETELY REMOVE any and all fg, and things won’t change. Good axis players will STILL dominate and bad whiny individuals will find other weapons to blame their lack of talent on.

True, but honestly given the relatively short engagement distances of this game i think the fg is objectively better than the g43, not sure why you’d gimp yourself like that… it is definitely overhyped, not as powerful as it seems but it is definitely the 2nd best “rifle” along the m2 carbine and avt

Oh oh, I don’t gimp myself, trust me: I genuinely fare better with g43. It’s so precise I know I just need to double tap any foe and he’s gone. With the fg, sometimes one bullet might miss and go somewhere on the side… so I need to tap more than my usual double shot.

FG42 - not to gunners it would be useless but to engineers, the squad theyre unlocked at.

no fg42 wouldn’t be useless to gunners since it will still fill a different niche that the MGs don’t

Yeah, it would offer german gunners a more nimble playstyle much like how the BAR feels to play with

Why would i have an FG42 instead if a MG42? Yea there is no real reason to.

because FG42 would fit a run and gun type of style while mgs are more for defensive purposes

Why would i run and gun with a high recoil low ammo. Run and gun with a SMG.

like most don’t do that with normal lmg anyways, and if fg42 goes to gunner slot then it will have a reserve ammo increase

the original ammo count of the fg42 on gunners was 20/60 so with ammo pouch 160 round, i dont see the problem in run n gun.
