The current way that AI stars work is that the more stars it has, the better the AI. This has a glaring issue. It makes starter AI garbage and so you have to sell your soul to Gaijin to get AI that has a braincell.
I suggest that no matter the stars of soldier he will have the AI of the current 4 star soldier. Instead the stars could act as specialization tokens. Lets say you have an assaulter. If he is at 1 star he as no specialization but he still as the AI of the current 4 star bot. You get him to 2 star. You now get a token to spend on specialization, He could get more aggressive, maybe hip fires better, or uses mounted mgs more often. Things like that. You could have up to 3 specializations at a time on 1 soldier.
