I’ve played with numerous players that avoid tanks and planes and focus on infantry gameplay. I personally enjoy flying and i use planes often. But even so, there are times when another player uses an airplane the entire match and i don’t get the chance to fly. That means that i cannot use a squad that i brought to the battle.
The question is, should the vehicle squad be optional and replaceable with another infantry squad?
In my opinion there is no point in forcing a player to have a vehicle squad if they just don’t use it. It would be far more usefull to allow them to change that squad with another infantry one of their choice.
I doubt that they will change this. It would make a premium account less valuable and make buying extra squad slots after buying premium less valuable. Basically if it hits their bottom line they will not change it.
One time, I was a bomber for half the match. A guy asked if I could let him play as a bomber. My answer was, “Time to be a paratrooper.”
Then I dropped a last run of bombs and rushed to the objective with my squad. Sometimes you can just ask in chat, but the problem is that you can be ignored or get a toxic reaction instead of kindness.
Console don’t have chat so it’s lame that we can’t be better teamplayers with randoms because the game doesn’t allow it, so there might be players trying to help each other but we can’t communicate so we have to suffer silently
Tbh all multiplayer games and ports for console should come with a chat for us to communicate, it’s kinda absurd next gen games don’t come with this essential feature

I don’t mind other players using airplanes the entire match as long as they are effective in some way. And yes, i know that the pilot relies on info from the ground to bomb large groups of enemies. I’ve had matches where the enemy was divebombing us hard yet our plane wasn’t taking care of the problem. The end result was that i could not join as a pilot to bring down that divebomber and the pilot that was ingame… i don’t know what he was doing frankly. I told him in the chat that it would be a good ideea to help us and bring the enemy plane down but it didn’t happen…
That being said, i think allowing players who aren’t interested in vehicles at all to change the vehicle squad for an infantry one might be a good ideea.
So i had to add something…
I was just playing with a vehicle squad(tank in berlin or moscow campaing wich actually doesn’t really matter…) and my ride was destroyed but manage to save 1 soldier and continue the round with this dude as normal infantry…
And we come to the question: Am i blocking the vehicle squad for the team or no? And if, I’m blocking the spot you should rework it don’t you think (thats more llike for the “development” team )
