Should the Breda 88 (P.XI) be moved down from BR2 to BR1?

In game and irl, the Breda 88 is restricted to three 100 kg bombs (There are infamous stories of the airframe not being actually air capable when given moderate payloads, lol.)

As far as flight characsterics, the plane bleeds energy constantly and the Piaggio engines overheat at more than 90% throttle.

The forward-facing armament consists of 3 .50 caliber SAFAT guns that simply are not it when it comes to even bomber run farming.

Compared to other BR2 attackers, like the Ju 87 D-5 or the SBD-3 Dauntless, this payload is incredibly weak. At BR1, it would be competitive but balanced, rivaling the French Potez 633, which packs heavier 200 kg bombs.

Yea, it is pretty bad airplane that has no place on BR 2. Even some fighters on BR 1 got better payloads than this thing.

it’s much faster than the other attackers you mention. Bomb accurately and it can be useful. Doesn’t the potez just have one bomb?

He definitely needs 1st brigade, it’s a slow and unwieldy aircraft + the bomb load is not considered great for this brigade

2x 200kg bombs so Potez being infinitely better than this one as a bomber on BR 1
