I could have sworn ive seen somewhere that BR 1 should only be able to get uptiered against BR2.
How did i just encounter BR3 germany while playing BR1 of allies?
(Dicker Max tank, multiple gewehr 41 too…)
I think when people test out some of the premium squad bundles, you get put into the BR your current army for that factions is, so you could try a bundle with BR1 squads in your normal lineup and put into BR1-2 matches despite having BR3 equipment.

In matchmaking BR1 goes to and inc BR3. Xxx
premium squad bundle issue, the BR you get to play when testing the bundle depends on your equipped deck´s BR.
So if all of your squads are BR1 then you will get to play BR1 with the premium squads regardless of their BR. This also works the otherway around, if you have BR5 squads you will be sent in a BR4-5 match when testing the premium bundle.
speaking from experience here (yes, I really forsaken myself to a BR5 match with some crappy BR2-3 premiums XD, I still had fun though).

Surely you had some BR2 or BR3 item in your lineup, even a single weapon is enough. Please chek the BR of each one of your squads.
That’s not it, it’s the problem others mentioned with Premium bundles.

I have seen countless Churchill while playing Japanese BR1. Kinda annoying as there is nothing you can really do about.
I wonder how this hasn’t already been fixed honestly…

I don’t think it’s just caused by people trying out premium bundles (though that does seem like a “bug” gaijin would ignore lol) because I’ve encountered tech-tree BR3 such as flamers in BR1 games.
These are definitly bot players.
When someone quit a match, they are replaced by a bot which uses a weird combination of squad, on lower BR these includes flamethrower squad.
