Apparently the shotgun shells have been changed in the most recent update:
But I have some questions regarding the old and new damage of shotguns:
•is the overall damage the same?
•how many pellets does the current shotgun shells have and how many pellets will the new ones have?
•What is the individual pellet damage of old and new shotguns?
Damage hasn’t changed
It’s just that the pellets now benefit from the less dispersion upgrade

What was the distance from where you shoted the target? I just find in enlisted a shotgun is just for realclose combat im a professional shooter in real life and go for shooting competitions but here i have problem with the accuracy when i use shotys, the leveraction shotgun thats fine but all other… i better use a pistol
