Settings for the custom battles

so, the devs have announced the upcoming for the custom battles

i got some ideas that could be done as a setting (everyone will love it, unless it turns into griefing):

  • fully/partially ruinable objects/buildings/trees (forest fires?), that leave ruins behind, but for that devs will have to make models of ruined or partially damaged buildings (please serperate settings for fires, building/tree/trenches to be able to be ruined)

  • starting a mission with buildings ruined already?

  • changing or removing gray zones (maybe just around spawns?)

  • various pre-built objects on map (sandbag menace/anti tank guns everywhere/just some barbed wires and sandbags)

  • moving objectives and spawns

  • lone fighters mode with squads HUD or vice versa

  • too obvious to write…

Of course, for example, the ability to limit the number of spawns, the ability to make PVE.Move respawns.Remove the limit on the number of planes\tanks, remove the limit on the number of units in battle (?).

  • objective locations and sizes set by the custom battle creator (3-5 conquest points as a starter, invasion would be complicated to implement at first)
  • more or less than 10 vs 10 players
  • enable teamkill for bombs and tank HE shells
  • max limit on number of bot squads
  • custom scoring rules e.g. 4x the normal points for engineering or capturing
  • etc…

also shape of capture points!

i would make them extremely large (over whole strategic position) for realism

  • option to toggle malfunctions on (off by default).
  • other boring and slow mechanics (off by default)

What about the weather and daytime? Thats the most important for me :slight_smile:

Just let dev go play some other similar FPS game and copy their custom battles.
If all other games do this, it’s probably good to do the same thing too.

If want something more advance, see RO2’s server page. You can tweak almost everything. Including spectator mode, reinforcement, maps style, etc.
