Once again a suggestion to separate BRV from BRIV in matchmaking. BRIV is a humongous gap away from BRV with assault rifles, SF rifles and tanks outclassing everything BRIV has to offer by such a wide margin that BRIV is left to die by most people. Before anyone argues that you can bring BRI weapons to BRV, yes you can but you will never, and I mean never, be anywhere near as impactful as if you were using BRV weapons.
The Gap between BRIV and BRV weapons is too large for BRIV weapons to properly compete and with near guaranteed uptiers the BR is extremely unattractive. And the gap between BRIV and BRV will only grow with all the newer and better stuff being added to BRV and making the gap even bigger.

The think it would be better for the game if BR5 was split in half and the better half pushed into BR6 while maintaining a ±1 matchmaking.

At what point would you split BRV and BRVI though? Especially in Infantry Equipment the differences between some of the weapons in Factions is minimal. Would the FG-42 be BRV and FG-42 II BRVI?
BR4 is a serious problem. It’s dead now because of 5, and if we take 5 away from it, it will kill 3. If we take all BRs apart, BR4 will still be dead, because it’s very P2W (especially in rifles and MGs) and the two factions have almost nothing there.
I’d say that BR4 won’t kill BR3 as much as BR5 kills BR4. BR3 contains a lot of iconic weapons that people, me included, would still use even if they’re fighting against technically better weapons.
And the difference between BR3 and BR4 is nowhere near the difference between BR4 and BR5. Let’s just look at the Allies as an example: Their equipment goes from Garand/Johnson ar BR3 to nothing new in BR4, a new type of Thompson and the Johnson MG instead of the BARA2. The Axis get the Gewehr 43/ZH-29 instead of the Gewehr 41, which honestly should get a buff at some point, the Kiraly instead of the ZK-383/Beretta M38 40 Round, and MG42/MG34 Patronentrommel instead of the MG34.
All of these are upgrades but not nearly as much of a difference as between BR4 and BR5. The ZH-29 is a lot weaker than the FG-42 and the Garand is a lot weaker than the T20

The main problem is the tanks. Most BR3 tanks do nothing against the Panther and Jumbo.

Yeah, the Tanks are a bit of a problem but I don’t think that is exclusive to the BR3/4 gap. In most situations getting uptiered makes the Tanks you bring essentially useless in Tank to Tank fighting.
Well most of the time no, it’s just about BR3 vs BR4 vs BR5, most BR2 tanks can fight BR3 tanks. This is also true for BR1 tanks.
If they want to remove BR4-5 battles without separating BR3 from BR4, historical and famous tanks like PZ4 series, early T34s and Shermans will be destroyed. I believe BR3 is much more iconic than BR4 and we shouldn’t sacrifice it.
The best solution is to upgrade BR4 TT and separate all BRs. If they want to sell you 20 round semi autos but give you 10 round semi autos in TT, no one will play it.

About with same success as with BR3 M10 can compete panthers.
Quite alot pixel aiming & in return you die to 1 hit.
And one thing ppl seem to overlook with these BR2 - BR3 comparisons is that the GE has by far worst grind in early game & and not exactly very good BR2 equipment either, does the job but quite far from being best.
So, while separating the BR’s could finally separate the BR1-2 from BR3 as well.
I think just like the upcoming matchmaking of giving 60 seconds to match player stacks, there +/- 0 matchmaking should also BEGIN already as a 60 second match timer. And only afterwards expand to +/-1 bracket.
This way as playerbase expands or shrinks we automatically get a better experience.
At a later date this can become a hard rule. But we should get started on it.

I think ideally if this were to happen then the select fire rifles being kept in BR5 would receive nerfs and be made to start in semi auto. Nerfs in recoil, damage, reserve ammo capacity, or any other metric would be fine.
Yep and to drop drum mag smg’s with around 70 rounds or less in br4.
