I would like to suggest a change to the Radio Operator class.
Currently, the Radio Operator can request different types of support, such as an artillery strike or a supply box. However, both abilities share the same cooldown timer. For example, if I request an artillery strike, I have to wait for the cooldown to expire before I can request a supply box, and the same happens in the opposite situation.
I think these two abilities should have separate cooldown timers , since they represent completely different types of support.
An artillery request represents communication with artillery or mortar units to provide offensive or defensive fire support, while the supply request represents calling for an aircraft to deliver a supply box. These are different actions involving different resources and purposes.
Having independent cooldowns would also make the Radio Operator more versatile without necessarily making the class overpowered. The individual cooldowns could still be balanced separately if necessary.
For example:
- Artillery strike: individual cooldown
- Supply drop: individual cooldown
This would make the Radio Operator feel more realistic and consistent, while also giving players more meaningful options when using the class.
I think separating these cooldowns would be a good improvement to both the gameplay and the representation of the Radio Operator’s role.
Thank you for considering the suggestion!
